Sometimes I laugh at my own misery
My mind forever split in two
The God and the creation
One benevolent and indifferent
The other open to inflictions

When tragedy strikes
One always had the answers
And the other out of breath trying to catch up
But like always, history repeats itself
The creation questions God
Soon my mind's at war

The supposedly complainant part
Making a fuzz about finding this myth called love
For instinct dictates to find holes in the rules
Because how could God know something so human
So I embrace the doubt

Treading boldly into the unknown
With nothing muted
Emotions light my path and i no longer have my Shepard
You can imagine my surprise
When I realised it wasn't the road to what i thought would be my new home
Instead I found myself in the eye of the labyrinth

Lost and terrified
I no longer want to find my new home
I want to be told what to do again
So now I'm looking from afar
At the child weeping on its knees
In the middle of a cruel maze
And yes I'm laughing at its misery.

You wrote 12 lines,
Which we spent several minutes on;
Interpreting.

You wicked, wicked woman.

Playing with words,
Simple words;
Arranging them
In an ordinary manner.

For us,
*Creating a labyrinth.
To Stevie Smith's wonderful poem- Not Waving but Drowning. :)
It was complex but witty.

What your eyes see are things that your mind cannot comprehend

Beware the blasted wastes beneath the light of the frozen moon

Fields of flame full of pasts and futures of endless unborn dead

You gaze upon an expanse that tears at your soul

This is the place where all things come to their end it seems

Hope not to find shade under The True Liar’s Monolith--ruins will remain of you too

Oh the hubris of man who tries to map the whimsy of the gods

Dancing landmarks
On the page
Never coming
To rest twice in the same place

At the center of the maze sits the changer of ways
created and sustained by desire

The Architect of Fate

“I could let you wander for eternity with your shattered mind, but that’s not my plan for you.”
“You are a drop in a sea of thought, locked in mortality, but as long as humanity has hope I will be here.”
“Go now, and make waves; I will be watching.”

Cast from the hidden library of chattering pages and numberless faces, he leaves the great plotter’s realm of chaos

With a mind still whole--new knowledge and memories buried deep
Inspired by another world.

Dreams as vivid as reality, my bodies lying on the bed as my mind soars causally.

In a wooden house with strangers equivalent to Dorothy's

I look outside the window I see waves of the open seas.

But were not in the ocean see, because pirates are never seen. I swear this is a different scene. If you could see it, you would believe.

But I'm not here to prove that it's nonfiction, let these words be a depiction of dreams that have been driven.

By Purposes filled in vials then consumed by minds made by miles, roads, and directions styled

in shuttering accents, enough of this madness lets jump into passions.

Engraved in my soul is the past-tense...if nothing's new under the sun,
then let my shade be a labyrinth

Life is a labyrinth
And we are all wandering
Searching for ourselves

He was charismatic,
She was demure.
Together they were
A fascinating couple.
They overcame difficulties,
Which the labyrinth of life
Had bought along.
The aged called them,
"A pair made in heaven."

Sweetly, swooning, he laid me down, adored my being into morning
Baptised in his sighs I bloomed under soft caresses
Sacred bird song echoed round the clock face and stars gazed upon us, smoldering
Lustrous shine glared white
there was a stirring in my spine
tender kisses within, without, our gods meditated  on pleasure
Tears rolled lash to dimple in hushed prayer and with quiet thanks he received my offering
Our words too human, our bodies left behind
I was delivered
Eyes closed and breath steady goosebumps flowed over flesh, we consecrated this place
The rosette center of my labyrinth unfolded and thus I saw, he had been sleeping sound in my petals

It's in our darkest times;
Trapped inside the labyrinth
Of our minds

With the waves of sorrow
Clawing out
And flowing freely
Down the engraved canyons
Of our tired eyes

That we discover
The most beautiful
Hidden corners
Of our souls.

Your heart is a daedal
You feel no worth in skin and bone
Your fingernails have carved your name
Into your headstone

As we sat in the shadows
Hand in hand, we walked the maze
Though my eyes had not adjusted,
This is where you spent your days.

So you knew every path and problem there,
With an intimacy I could not tell.
You led me through, though solemn,
Explaining every step as well.

Then one of your demons grabbed you,
As we reached the apogee.
You cried, and though it was darker still,
I could suddenly see.

I saw every tunnel differently
Than I had before,
And I realized why when you left the maze
your skin was always sore.

So I tried to take your demons
But as I tried, your skin would split.
And I realized your demons are part of you
As you are part of it.

And I feel I should be your deliverer,
But I don't know what to do.
How can I defeat your darkness
When your darkness is part of you?
