Smiles are a peculiar thing
I find yours infectious
Crawling on my mouth
So when you look at me
I look at you too

If only your smile found its way onto mine
So that they can intertwine
Delicately and passionately
So when your hand is on my body
Mine is on yours too
Feedback Welcome!
I loved the poem that you gave me,
Dear beloved, for Valentine's Day
Oh! My goodness, that was ****.
That was hot, romantic and gay.

I loved the poem that you sent me,
To express your deepest feelings.
I also loved the flowers and the rings,
That you gave me for eternity.

I never knew that you were a Poet.
You shocked me with your lovely words.
You made me happy; it was like we just met.

Love can externalize exceptional emotions,
And expressions that are as sharp as deadly swords.
I also loved the kisses, the candies and the carnations.

Do lips have ears to catch the sound,
Do lips have eyes where visions drown?
Do lips hold hearts that softly beat,
In every whisper, every greet?

Do lips, with honey, sweetly blend,
A taste of dreams that never end?
Do lips, with saffron’s gentle hue,
Hold secrets deep, both rich and true?

Do lips have souls, a spark, a flame,
That kindles love, that calls your name?
How do these lips, with power untold,
Weave magic warm and tender, bold?

With every sigh, with every kiss,
They stir the heart to boundless bliss.
Like roses soft, with petals pure,
Their fragrance lingers, sweet and sure.

Kisses, the secret to life’s delight,
A spark of heaven in the quiet night.
A touch that holds the universe still,
Binding souls with an unspoken thrill.

Valentine’s joy, with love so bright,
Fills the heart and lights the night.
A gift of passion, a tender vow,
A promise of forever, here and now.

So tell me, seeker, with longing true,
What ancient force lies hid from view?
For in these lips, both soft and pure,
Lies love’s own secret, rich and sure.
A sweetness, like saffron, finely spun,
In every kiss, a world begun.

If I will it,
Will it?
Mold it into the shape of kisses,
Send it on the Winter wind,
Will whatever it wishes.

Stop in time,
The snowflaked memories of my mind,
Zoom in past the reflection of the sign
That we passed and then doubled back.

Wind up Wind down,
Rise up, Slow up,
Follow the tug,
Follow the pocket square,
Dressed to the nines,
Am proud to be with ya.

Zoom back out,
Push through unshoveled snow
Push through the front door
Push into my arms
Pushed against the wall.

Stop in time,
This moment is perfect,
Nothing could change it,
No way to frame it,
Remember it hard,
Recall every detail:
His smile, his beard, his coattails,
The bits of snow left on his coat still--
because the moment he saw me we were On.

The feel of his coat against my skin,
Breathing in the smell of him,
Then we tasted
Each other so close under the covers
We made it
About each other and for one another
Our bond reached out and shook us
And there was nothing to say when it took us
We both knew
You knew what I knew
We both knew.

Now when I send tiptoe kisses
You feel them.
When you send me your embrace
I feel that too.
I can hear you in my heart and it sings back
Whistles back a callback or two.

We only have time.
We have memories to align
With our presence,
Stamp our mark.

The energy of us
Leaves an imprint
Like ghost tiptoe kisses
And ghost long embraces
Ghost hearing your voice
and the timbre and warmth
Just as present.

I couldn't be happier
Except
If I could will it,
I would will it--
So that we don't have to sustain on
Ghost tiptoe kisses
and ghost long embraces
Anymore.
I miss my person.

can you tell me with your lips how your eyes perceive me?
do you see me as an intricate basket with colorful beads?
done so by ancient hands so expertly weaved?
can you tell me the secrets of the soil that clasps the roots of the trees?
can you tell me all the names and whispers you hear in the breeze?
can you tell me how you always know the ice is thick enough to walk on after the winter's fourth freeze?

can you tell me how your eyes always know how to find me through a drunken crowd?
even through all the smoke from the hundreds of people creating this dust cloud
can you tell me how you always know when I'm saying things out loud?
even when the music is blaring
and the bartenders can't read the words people have mouthed
and say "sorry, if you want a drink you'll need to shout"
can you tell me why you smile when I lean out the window as you drive over and over again circling this roundabout?

Can you tell me how you've always known the tone of my breath and the song of my soul?
Can you tell me why somedays it feels like our first time meeting at a school dance back in the days of old?
Can you see us standing at the table with the snacks and the spiked fruit punch bowl?
Can you see me trying to catch the words of this song in whole? they're playing this new type of music, "have you heard it before? you ask me, they call it rock'n'roll"
Can you tell me you'll walk me home? hold my hand like it's the first time and forget I live just three houses past the big light pole?
Can we keep talking and maybe kiss at the end of this stroll?
"Can you tell me something about you?" I ask because knowing you deeper is a different type of beauty to behold
I smile as you tell me "I always loved when my aunt would make her thanksgiving broccoli and cheddar casserole"

Can you tell me how with you nothing feels like sin
even when your lips trace over every inch of my skin?
Can you tell me how you know to always lift my chin
to look you in the eyes even when the woes wear on me from where I've been?
Can you tell me how you felt about me when you watched me order a cocktail with my favorite gin?
but now Can I tell you how long I've I loved you? it's actually long before I even knew our time together would begin

Two of salt
Have a heaven, have a done
Wrent with the times, a unison fault?
A picture of silence, when you have a question?

What is salt to a weary heaven?
Claim the door, or make a fruit a sovereign future
We have the sulking, the tradition of when art is the question
Can a hardier nuance, become the notion to endure?

A picture of paradise?
Promises and privilege, to greet your decisions
Of waiting and fating the stare, opus hopes is wise
So to a form in choices void, is a wakeful two, intimation?

Of a welling conscience, and the first of many kinds
Of wishes for, and taken with impressions visit
Medians or tedium, a rule of voice is to become our mind
A sake, with tomorrow on its nerves, and the rest of the future for wit

Creating the art of hours, a wishing order to worth
Is a raging held in honor or contempt?
Longing for a masters stroke, can a sharing candor, leave us with certain...
Ours of heed, and curiosity, to be a show of what life lent?

The mastery of a premonition
To work the magic of the age, a host's place and or confirmation
Come by the senses of another, to speak the truth of intuition
That has become the pout of romantic powers, a vision of a generation?
Heroine, can a shooting star believe in you, or is the table set for alienation? advice from God himself, why did the ****** eat itself? because it can't

(a poem in Haiku and Senryu)

Draw a stick figure
future - sadly diminished
and chaos ransomed.

Paint the landscape
with the sweltering glare
of global warming.

Add micro-plastic
and forever chemical
flavorings to taste.

Come share this
with me - let kisses heal and
soft whispers inflame.

Some locks need two keys
to open, some heavens can
be reached by mortals.

A song for this:
All Gone Away by The Style Council
Locks that require two keys are called ‘Dual Custody’ locks. They’re most common for bank deposit boxes.

Seven minutes in heaven
A game kids use to play
I got my turn one warm summer day
It was meant as a joke
Just kids being mean
Sweet Susie Cooper
When I was only thirteen
I felt sorry for her, locked in a closet with me
The geek, the dork, full of anxiety
Six long minutes together
Alone in the dark
Then from out of nowhere I felt a spark
Just before the door opened
Sweet Susie, She kissed me
And broke my heart

Buenos dias
Adiós
Buenas noches
Para todos los días.

Con ambas manos
te beso de por vida
Para las flores del mañana
Y felicidad en la alfombra.

un beso a la izquierda
Y otro a la derecha
No es nada feo.

En lo profundo de tu garganta apretada
nado no muy lejos de la hierba
Como un tiburón poderoso.

Bonjour
Au revoir
Bonsoir
Pour toujours.

Avec mes deux mains
Je t’embrasse pour la vie
Pour les fleurs de demain
Et le bonheur sur le tapis.

Un bisou à gauche
Et un autre à droite
Ce n’est pas du tout moche.

Au fond de ta gorge étroite
Je nage non **** du gazon
Comme un géant poisson.
