I hear it's dark
There is no electricity,no food,
no sun-just the moon.

I hear it's not safe too
There is no money, no love,
no birthing-just abortions!
From the unborn baby's perspective.

You're a tree of knowledge
I'm your fallen leaf
This ground between us
So cold and stark
So waterless
I cannot survive
If ever you loved me at all
Please end this misery
By finishing me off

I thought it will be
A nowhere leading road,
a small puddle in the sun.
My hope grew with every sight,
every touch, every kiss.
My hope killed me,
your fortune was
to leave me,
to take my life.
I am tortured infinitely
day by day, more and more.
Hope to pass away,
repenting my sins,
paying my dues,
being punished
for what’ve you done.

I took a hit to fly away that day
I should of known the high wont last
Because when the crash came
Like a fast train
The dripping rain stopped
The flashing lights drined
And i passed out for 3 whole days
In a puddle of freezing rain
That was my skin
That was my brain

I woke up in a full body shake
Need another hit just to stay awake
To speed me up to keep me sane
Maybe ill at least remember my name
Or maybe this is all a game

And thats a thought
My brain can't shake
My whole life is
An endless earthquake
All my emotions are becoming fake
The high is the only taste i take
Driving me to keep up the pace

I need more to get the same effect
My mind hurts, i need a rest
Gotta stay high to keep at my best
With the crash comes
The crippling distress
Of all my thoughts
Rushing and pressed
Into my consciousness
Im out of breath
Everytime i do this
Im nearing my death

Roll up! Roll up!
Examine the corrupt,
the nose, hair, the olive of skin.
Dishonourable, alloyed blood.

Rub, Rub
I can't get it off.
grate, burn, scour,
I can only cleanse, gloss, polish.

Look! Come and see
the fresh, clean impurity.
Lay on the table,
sparkling shimmering.
We cannot control these sinful things.
To all my ancestors who were persecuted for their religion and ethnicity.

Dad was a blowhole,
Mom, a plankton feeder
Who never neglected the pod.

The hunters would come
In their little asinine ships,
Looking to stick our
Good sense with sharp points,
Harpooning us into believing
We'd be better off dead and used for fuel.

But Mom would read to us
Stories from books about high water,
And tip those boats right over.

Nothing dared swim in our wake on such nights,
She was queen to the waves,
Who in bows and curtsies,
Became her subjects.

Little did we know this long, arduous journey
Was driven not by kingdom, but by extinction...

You built me a casket that was too small and expected I would accept it quietly.

the ocean is red
red for the war,
red for the rage,
red for the passion,
red for the bloodshed, killing and death that comes with the conflict.

the trees are yellow
yellow for the decay,
yellow for greed,
yellow for sickness,
yellow for the colour of the metal found in the earth with worth more than anything else.

the sky is gray
gray for the smoke,
gray for the dullness,
gray for the restlessness,
gray for the colour of the snow that falls from the sky, riddled with toxic chemicals.
this is part two of a three-part poem, following the past and preceding the future.
