No matter my crisis,
There’s one thing I know-
Even when I’m at my lowest,
I still make the ******* joke.

The room goes quiet,
So I start to smile.
Deflecting pain like an actress,
It never goes out of style.

Tears sting behind my eyes,
But I deliver the line clean.
And everyone laughs,
Because no one knows what the **** it means.

My hurt has a laugh track-
Invisible, robotic, rehearsed.
And if I keep it playing loud enough,
Maybe I won’t feel the worst.

Because silence feels like sinking,
And truth feels like a loss.
But a joke? That’s a win.
Misery is humor’s final boss.
And though I’ve got some hecklers,
Right at center stage,
I just keep the jokes coming,
Better to stay funny than be enraged.

The pain
Of being around
You

Burns like a tire fire,
Hurts more than desire,
Tastes like
Brittle charcoal,
Stings
more than
Any promise you broke,

Burns
Li ke
A tire fire,

Hurts
More
Than desire,

Tastes
Like
Brittle charcoal,

Stings
Like
Every
promise I
Broke.

Being around you hurts more

Than being a

Joke.

you said it was a joke,
about how you wanted to kiss me
you looked me
straight in my eyes
and told me,
"i could kiss you right now"
then pulled away after a moment.
your touch lingered,
i could still feel your hands there,
on my cheeks,
holding them.
i could still feel
your body heat --
you had gotten too close
close enough for me to still feel it
because even though you left
you were still there.

you said it was a joke,
but the look in your eyes
it was desperate,
like you needed a push
to kiss me
then
and there

If you have a coin
Call me by your name
I’ll steal it from you
This is a pun. Or something?

a high mood
could skip along like a child
a practical joke      i give a sharp pull
         on the strings of Everything
jape's on me
as i am tugged from off of my feet
           and tumbled on the ground
         laughing any-which-way

the day sky   fills with lenses
                    enough to displace the stars
but there too much for them to see
efforts made mockable
the pattern baffling the pattern
with misunderstood importance

release      and i enjoy the sun
                 for being the sun

In shadows deep
Where silent whispers dwell
A scary hitman on his way and
Each target marked
A ghostly dance of fate
A scary hitman on his way
No remorse felt and
No sorrow in his eyes
A single shot a life
Now put to sleep
The scary hitman has left the scene
A silent killer fueled by chilling fear.
Scary Hitman 😨 🤡 😨

How's the weather?
Sweaty eyes and humid nose
How's the weather?
In situations you didn't chose
How's the weather?

Locked eyes and lifted lips
To sour goodbyes and tightened grips
Every page is filled with ink
That's made to vanish once you blink

Place a bucket, catch the tears
While holes are still fresh, wetting sheers
Get a shovel and dig your eyes
Got blinded by love to see his lies?

You are foolish while still sober
Tell me then, how's the weather?
Step on the clock and keep climbing
'til you reach the epoch where it's not raining

If it’s only a joke why does it sting?

If it’s only a joke why do you make it personal?

A joke shouldn’t be something used as a hateful thing.

Jokes are supposed to be something we can look back on and laugh at;

Not be ashamed because we were made insecure by a few words.

Make it make sense

Jokes are supposed to be lighthearted and something for a laugh.

Not to make people feel ashamed.

“Oh! Remember when you started-“
It’s not a joke.

We’re not laughing.

But you are.

It’s not a joke so stop saying it after an insult because it’s not a joke.
Idk just inspired off of a video I seen and wanted to make my own. Don’t remember the girl that made the poem sadly.

How to gain the confidence to complete a simple task?
a bit of a lighter note than other poems I’ve been posting lately…

I love my parents, but they’re out of it.
For high school graduation, they gave me a gift.
A genie, three wishes, you get the gist.
A big responsibility for an eighteen-year-old kid.
What should I wish for? Well, I don’t know!
Beginning of summer, maybe I’ll wish for snow?
First semester of college, but I don’t wanna go.
Maybe I’ll wish to already know.
Know English, Spanish, math, science, and more,
But I’d rather know what’s on the ocean floor.
Why not cure cancer? Because it seems like a chore.
No, what I really want is the one I adore!
Genie, I wish for my perfect girl.
The most beautiful one in the whole world.
Give me a stunner, one that I can twirl.
Genie said wait, don’t give that a whirl.
I am all powerful, all knowing too.
So I know a secret, one about you.
Now don’t deny it, for you know it’s true.
You don’t like girls, or “doing the do”.
You, kid, are gay. Trust me, I’m the genie.
So don’t ask for a taco when you really want ******.
