Someday,
I'll be a wife.
It's hard to imagine but
the future's just right there.

I can't bring myself to think that
there would actually be a man
to put up with me
in everything I do.

One day,
we would probably be at home,
watching TV on our lazy *****,
enjoying mugs of coffee
and probably keeping watch on our child.
(I can't even imagine having a child.)
Take care of each other,
give kisses to the other,
and say our "I love you's".

It makes me think of
how precious that future
would be.

It's scary,
thinking about the future.
But thoughts like these,
well, these are the bright ones
that plaster a smile on my face.

i cant wait for the day,
i wake up in the morning
to my baby jumping on my bed.
and i open my eyes,
already laughing.
anf i smell the burning
of toast, while listening
to steps down the hall
to my room.

he walks in,
and i realize
my life is finally,
what ive always
     wanted it to be.

One of my wife's gorgeous friends,
Eyes as large as marigolds,
But I knew her name not,
Taller & slimmer she was,
She came to greet my wife,
Happy married life with me,
My wife introduced her as Gayatri.

"Such a divine sweet name!"
So I exclaimed moving closer,
And the cooker started whistling.

I just thought something,
And looked towards my wife,
"Your pulses got ready,
Please look after them,
Lest they get burned,
Proceed towards the kitchen,
Your effort might go wasted."

My wife looked at me suspiciously,
Slanting her head she commanded,
"Let the pulses be burned,
I won't let you bake any cake,
You go, mind the pulses instead."

I imagine myself waking up in the morning, and walking into the kitchen to find you.
We are both in our underwear and a baggy, oversized t-shirt with messy hair, and you say to me, “Hey, I made you rainbow pancakes for breakfast.”
And maybe then I would enjoy mornings.
