This is a little everyday tale,
A warning for women, without fail,
Yes, it's Easter time again,
Your old man's got camping on his brain,
So, you load up the caravan and car,
This camping site is miles too far,
You set off in a golden glow,
Seven hours of traffic jams on the road,
You are having fun! you grin,
You are listening to your family whinge,
Your old man has a bad back,
You unload the stuff, the kids do clap,
But, the primus stove does not work,
Then the fridge throws a spanner in the works,
Now the milk is off,
Your old man tells you to "*******!"
You are having fun!
Shame you haven't got a gun!
You all collapse into bed,
By 5 am, it's raining, enough said,
The dog has left you a doggy surprise,
And for breakfast, only frozen pies,
You are having fun!
His moans have just begun.
You wish you'd brought a gun!
Yes, girls, camping is a defence,
God gave you a home, not tents!
Happy Holidays!!!!!!!!**######
Feedback welcome.

Sometimes I mine for echoes
Ghosts of sounds within me still
Cicadas and the clash of boules
Soft voices from the hill

Two young boys tongue-tied in the sun
Barefoot on summer's shore
Soft feet licked clean by freedom's whim
With oceans to explore

My mother nurtured flowers
Drowning shadows out with paint
The brightness of geraniums
The patience of a saint

My father cut the grass too much
And ran to clear his mind
Until the echoes of the Angelus
Beseeched him to unwind

My brother lined his time with books
He tore through Willard Price
And towed me just behind him
Through the fronds of paradise

Marauding hornets launched their raids
From castles in the attic
While Stanley mined for longwave gold
From seams deep in the static

And all the while
My granny kept her patience in the shade
Her deck of cards adorned with birds
Their feathers slightly frayed

The swallows scythed through open skies
Back home where they belonged
And like Narcissus, swooped from height
To kiss the surface of the pond

The wasps built paper palaces
The geckos froze on sight
And midwife toads woke from their doze
To tune up for the night

As daytime took its leave
We sought out satellites and stars
Then lay in quiet contemplation
Watching Venus waltz with Mars

I remember cowboys’ breakfasts
With my father by the lake
Freewheeling with the moon roof open
For freewheeling's sake

We wore our bike tyres paper thin
Climbed castle walls unseen
Dived into lakes to race for ducks
And ruled the world at just thirteen

We fashioned bows and arrows
From the saplings in the wood
Sprung ambushes from chestnut shade
And fell dead where we stood

We roamed the dust-filled houses
On the back streets off the square
An ageless band of soldiers
Feigning death without a care

We raced around the wood yard
Sometimes scuffled in the dust
We traded glances with the neighbours' girls
And felt the nascent tug of lust

We sought out mischief in the hills
Stole naughtily from shelves
Smoked roll-ups in a Dutch girl's car
Unclipped our wings and helped ourselves

I still look for her in you.
You told me you could dig blue,
I said, "I dig you."
We shouted "Boo!" and "Happy Holidays" too.

But somehow I felt she was still in my queue.
What a picture for myself I drew,
Always focusing on the morning dew.
Labeling my fantasies as true,

Still figuring out how to shake her glue.
You were new, so I thought I’d be able to see you through.

Little kids are caroling
Joyful songs they are singing

Street lights are dancing
The sky is happily watching

Delicious smell, I'm inhaling
Busy houses, everyone is preparing

Sounds of gift wrapping
How nice is giving and sharing

Christmas is truly a blessing
Let us enjoy this serene feeling*

I've been so hooked with work and preparation for the holidays lately, that is why I wasn't able to read and write for quite some time.. I hope to back read all the poems I've missed lately..

And to all my poet friends here, it's better late than never, Seasons Greetings to all of you! Hope you all had a blessed season :)
Happy Holidays Hello Poetry ❤️
The Christmas spirit is in the air
What a joy it is for everyone
Families gather around the tree
And have so much fun
So jovial and jubilant
Of a delightful mood
Everyone is in such a frivolous manner
As laughter fills the room

Lady for your information I don't need a phycologist
To reveal my mind,
My personal discretion is not any of your business,
I really don't have the time,
Talk is so cheap in America that in anywhere else it would
Cost a mill,
Guess that's why this generation of people may extort , ****,
Sell and steal,
Reputation still at its peak and I'm more wise than anybody
Here,
So if you're thinking you could break my silence to *******
Then enforce the fear,
Mixed opinions and doubts about everything I do intrigues you to
The core,
But I have light deep inside of me while taking me home and snippeting
What's in store.

A day where we honor
A pagan and druid holiday
Exchange presents
To each other for one day
Billions of dollars gone to waste
To get the people you love a taste
Brain food for the brittle soul
Same story being told
Fat white man coming
Down a chimney
Delivering presents to a bunch
Of filthy self loathing peasants
Telling us that Christmas
Is about Jesus being birth
When we all know that's a lie
When the traditions lies
To Roman and Greece ties
Men exchange gifts with men
And in return they had *** with each other
And had ***** and to a point
Where it was banned in the late 1800s
So is this the way you celebrate
A tradition based of homosexual rituals mixed with a virginbirth?
I don't think so Yosef don't play that!!

Happy naked holidays
For those who are so inclined
The world would be better
If no one would really mind
That people go to the beach unclothed;
Bring a volleyball and play
Or picnic in the park in the ****
On any lovely sunny day.

The same with all the holidays
They're for each of us to celebrate
In whatever way each may choose
Their philosophy to demonstrate.
Because after all isn't naturism
A way of worshipping creation?
How could it be proper then
To label it just a deviation?

So have very Merry Holidays
Of the very nakedest kind;
As that's the way you were created
Nobody should really mind.
Happy Easter merry Christmas
And happy Thanksgiving too.
So happy naked holidays
To each and every one of you!

You never know what you have, until it's lost.
Enjoy the Holidays, Enjoy every bit of the family, friends, and happiness you can get.
It is something that should be cherished and treasured forever, because it won't last for eternity. Hold onto what you can, let go what you must let go. Some gifts are meant to be passed on, meant to be shared. Others are meant to be kept to yourself. Take time and reflect to see which ones in your life are which. Its a tough decision, but in the end, you will feel so much better. Plus, always remember there are people everywhere that will help wrap your present, whether you want them to just hold the tape, or to walk you through the entire process. The present will get wrapped, and you will be able to wrap on your own someday, but it takes time to learn, to build up strength. Have the courage to ask others to help, they will be overjoyed to help tie the bow. So as you sit by the fireplace this holiday season, take time to take care of yourself, to appreciate the gift of life you have. The gift that was given to you years ago. You are the beautiful shimmering present tied in a red bow that everyone admires under the Christmas Tree. You, are the best thing that could've happened to me. And don't you ever forget that. I love each and every person who is reading this-Never forget your beauty, your happiness, your strength. Whatever you are going through, you can get through. Whatever you are stuck on, it will pass. You have the courage and strength to move on, I know you do.
*I believe in you.
and for all my people out there who don't celebrate Christmas, You are as important, and you can do everything above. I know you can.

Everyone please stay safe and healthy during this holiday season. It can be a time of great happiness, but for others it can cause deep sadness, and can be a major trigger.  Be careful what you say, and watch out for people who look alone, who look upset. To those you will want to show them love and care. Even if you don't know what happened, even if they are a complete stranger, show love, and it can make their day.
You never know what a small smile could do,
it could change their world.

Happy Holidays everyone, I love you all.

Wanted to take a secound to make a wish
That all my fellow poets have a joyous day
No matter what Holiday is your cup of tea, your dish
If you are alone or sad, I hope a smile comes your way
I hope all your Holiday plan's you accomplish
And that joy comes to your table to stay
