Walking down the street while the street is dead.
Comfort in my head there is the coldest bed.
Out from the abyss is where my dreams have led.
***** all the words that I haven't said.
Who says I can't be great like the lord I praise?
Stuck beneath my shadow was my darkest days.
Pray that I get rid of these ugly ways.
Why live the same if you don't feel the same?
Who's to blame for the worldwide lies?
Who's to say you won't see past the sky?
Who's to know where you're gonna go?
When the loud goes quiet and the wind just blows...
Be great, nothing's stopping you.

His walks were valiant
That's how he paraded in my mind
A unique specimen, that could only be found on the edge of something sublime
The way the words rolled out of his mouth like dice, and funny enough he always hit a double 6!
He was always armored and ready for lifes bitter-sweet rivals.
But when I dug deep beneath into his soul I found his heart,it was warm
His heart is the one place I had to journey to
I needed to know the source of his strength and greatness!
So he spoke about kissing my delicate flower
I told him those kisses are wicked and he told me. That its the door way to my soul
I couldn't. Fathom why he wanted to enter
And he told me that he needed to find my heart because he needed to know the source of my strength and greatness!
That's what happened when he saw himself in me and further dug deeper, not to know who I was,but to further know who he was!

There is greatness
There is freedom
Inside the emptiness
You run away from
This is true
It’s within you!
If only you knew...

We might all be able to achieve greatness,
But there can only be one greatest.

That title doesn’t include the many.
It doesn’t include the we or the us.

Sure, we can all fight hard,
Take what's coming our way,
Become stronger because of it.
We might be victorious, now and again.
We might hold the trophy over our heads
And shout and scream our triumphs to the crowd
And feel truly, utterly, absolutely great.

But that does not make us the greatest.

The media might herald our names,
Praise us, speak aloud of our greatness.
Others might follow us, love us, worship us,
Wish to be just like us.
Flocks of fans, declaring us the favorite.

But that does not make us the greatest.

We might make millions,
Accrue and accumulate wealth beyond wealth,
Seize land, buy power, pay our way.
Show it all off, the glitz and gleam;
A man makes money,
But the money really, truly makes the man.

But that does not make us the greatest.

We might be consumed by adversity
Yet come out swinging on the other side.
We might beat back all the others,
Emerge with our heads high and our fists in the air…

But that does not make us the greatest.

Who sets the expectations?
Who writes the criteria?
Who upholds the standards?
Who is the greatest?

The Best success story is the one you write for yourself,
Make it great!!!
No matter your background, you can create the future you dream of,
The past is behind, leave it there!that's where it belongs, not that you should forget about it,you have to learn from it and make sure you benefit from it,
Let your past be your teacher not your leader,
Be led by your present with the lessons you got from your past,
Don't let the bad things that happen to you go to waste, use your experiences and testify to build others,
Live in the present, learn from your past and build on your future,
Greatness starts from within,
You don't need anyones approval!,
Decide to be great and live up to that,
Remember its all upto you, yourself and you..

By battle royal

Always
Looked over
Due to personality

As
Time past
His greatness noticed

Often
Looking backwards
We discover things
John Z. Adams was a minor character in my story titled The Immortal One has Fallen.  I decided to do his story is the Janaku form.

Oh! Oh! What a pristine pope?
Your tenet represents humbleness.
No doubt in your placid face.

Myriads of people in this world
Rich, poor, hay wired or normal.
We are in equal in his eyes.

God is an eternal great sage.
Sending you here on Earth
As a gift to all of us.

So be susceptible from his goodness.
Stop scribe wickedness.
Help him spread the word of God.

Emulate his kind and pure heart.
For the common good and for God
We may be a better nation.
For our Pope Francis
