gobbledygook is nonsense
it's a hodgepodge of words
as perplexing as picturing
a third of a third of a small
irrational number you heard
at the bar shortly after you
finished your tenth beer

………

you continue to hear math
when you step out of the
shower you showered in

redundancy's empowering
when done on purpose

maybe not really, but
i have the power to do it

………

i always wash off after work,
but my job is seasonal, so
i haven't showered yet

i'm short, and people
tower over me

i'm pretty sure
the smell drifts up

………

i'm almost certain that
even chaos has a source
there must be a reason
why it takes the course

the truth is there,
but it's hidden behind
many red herrings that
you can't see through

nonsense might convey
more than careful thinking,
but everything's confusing,
so i give up

it's all
gobbledygook

This poem might mean a lot to me, but detachment is the method to my madness; I wander in reverie until I fall back on my feet. Ridiculousness is lost to me. Reluctantly, I start to make sense. I can't stay focused on what does not exist.

Thank you for reading.

Language is a gably thing,
One can gister words as they go;
Cacophony of sounds we set meanings with,
Leaving me flummoxed every time I unwreathe.

Sesquipedalian, dollipling, mollycoddle
Do these quixotic words truly exist?
Wattucturic, rigmarole, dorizating
Naf, won’t tell you which is which.

Maybe words do not aim to bamboozle,
But some are just too choorlish to have been born;
Reminds me of how whimsical humanity is,
Passing on wanches that spell like these.
A poem about made-up words that sound too real and real words that sound too made-up.

What to use for gibberish
Gobbledygook is a useful word
Find it in your double-talk

Say these words and feel them roll off your tongue.

Half living,
half dead
I hear voices
in my head

Half crazy,
half sane
Cryingly laughing
in vain

Half empty,
half full
Glass is broken
after all

Half super,
half not
Don't know
what I've got

Half glowing,
half dark
Keep on flashing
  that spark

Half satan,
half god
Half good
or half bad

Half yin,
half yang
Half old,
half young

Half nothing.
It
doesn't
make
any
sense
.
