The Gloaming Hour

Like a secret
that desperately wants to be kept,
darkness gently unfolds …
unhurried but measured.

The gloaming hour descends
blurring the edge of day.
An in between time,
harboring light while coaxing the darkness

Long blue shadows,
stretched by dying light,
drape the fields like a mourning mantle,
connecting this night to it’s beautiful day…

Willful to keep her memory alive.

Here in the morning gloaming
burning
my skin flaming
as I imagine red kisses
from smouldering lips!

How easily
in anticipation
you make me whimper
before with pleasure
making me simper -
each kiss
another hot coal
placed on my rawness
with searing softness.

Air flows in and from

Hung in the depth of the horizon
sits a mountainous,
golden
               sun.

I run (run, run and run),
            quick to catch a lick

"'Til tomorrow",

I whisper to the now

I'll keep my head held
up

for this this just a temporary
