VERSE ONE
Can't shake the feeling
when I look at you
in the front seat
And see you smiling

And then you glance
back at me lovingly

I love the sound of your voice

As you turn up the volume dial

To sing out loud really proud

I love the way you make me feel

CHORUS
You can take control
Of my stereo
As long as I can ride with you
We can go wherever you want to
As long as I can ride with you
Into the city, out to the country
Along the coastal roads
You can take control
Of my stereo
As long as I can ride with you

VERSE TWO
I've got one hand on the wheel
As you put your hand in mine
And there's no other place
I'd rather be but by your side
Whether it's on a late-night drive
Or a scenic cruise through the day
We can have the windows down
Let your hair flow in the wind
Or windows up with the A/C on
Blowing a gentle breeze
It's all your choice baby

CHORUS
You can take control
Of my stereo
As long as I can ride with you
We can go wherever you want to
As long as I can ride with you
Into the city, out to the country
Along the coastal roads
You can take control
Of my stereo
As long as I can ride with you

VERSE THREE
Tell me, girl
Where would you like to go tonight
Do you have a place in mind
Or should we let the stars be our guide
Tell me, girl, would you like to take a drive with me tonight
I like the way the music lights up your face
When your favourite song comes on
I like the way you sing along
To every word through every verse
I love every moment spent with you
This is why I'm so in love with you

CHORUS
You can take control
Of my stereo
As long as I can ride with you
We can go wherever you want to
As long as I can ride with you
Into the city, out to the country
Along the coastal roads
You can take control
Of my stereo
As long as I can ride with you

I don't really know what to say
It seems I've run out of words
But everyday I miss you and it's just getting worse
Since you left I feel lost and everything hurts
I cried myself to sleep last night
And stained my pillow with tears
I woke up at 2 a.m.
Cause you're not here
To turn out the light
I wish you were here
So you could teach me to skate
We'd get pizza again on Fridays
Then get in bed at eight
And go to the cinema on Sundays
You'd still defend me
When I get cat called in the streets
You'd kiss and hug me
When I'm crying and weak
I would bake us cookies
And we'd dunk them in black coffee
We'd give each other hickies
And laugh when people ask why
We'd move our bed to the window
So we can look at the city lights
Both our heads on the same pillow
And pass the most perfect nights.
I found my words again
I miss you Lu

She got me craving for her when she’s absent
She got me speaking love in a different accent
She got me thinking attention is what love meant
But now I know all it meant was the Cent.

There she sat in front of me with her beautiful smile that always seemed to light up the room
but somethings missing
Is it the sweetness I felt when I looked at her
or the fresh peppermint laughs we shared
now as I sit here
I shatter from the way she makes me feel
She doesn't know
She'll never know about the red stripes she left on me
can a shattered candy cane be put back together?
it might seem impossible
some parts may be lost
but with some time
I'll be back on my feet again
and she'll move on to someone sweeter
maybe a gumdrop this time

There are birds that live outside my house.
There are actually quite a few,

Grouse and dove and Pheasant.
Birds that speak of me and you,

But none of their singing
Could be as quite as pleasant as you

With your offbeat tweet, and history papers past due.
Though I can attest to you being a pest,
I Love You.

she better have a ***** cast in gold,
acres of patience and miles of love.

she better have the perfect bikini line,
never a watch tan, but always on time-
had a good reason all three times she’s cried.

she better have a blonde squad that defends her,
lululemon avengers,
oh- and they all respect
her relationship with you.
but were something to happen,
you know they’d hop on that too.

she better be dorky, in all the right ways.
tan legs and a t-shirt, loses each time that she plays.

and it’s so sad that you can’t take her out
to the bar or the club,
all those ******* guys who see her and think:
mmm, gimme some!

then I can understand
how you could leave me,
sad, and home allll on my own.
because you’re with Venus herself,
and she’s dropping it low.

but- I can’t think about her,
getting mad, letting out a ****, a burp,
or a big snotty sneeze,
because then it’s not that she’s perfect.

you just didn’t want me.
to all my fellow jealous hags out there- stay bitter!

“What's that smell ?“
My eyes open, my ears are ringing and my head is throbbing. It's to dark to see, an unnerving silence can be heard.
“Where am I?” I reach out in front of me, nothing. I reach beside me, touching the floor. It's wet. I retract my hand towards my nose, blood?  I sit up, it hurts. I move my wet hand to my abdomen.

I wake up, what a dream I had, I murmur to myself. My girlfriend walks into the bedroom. I told her about the dream. She laughed. I didn't understand what was so funny about it. I looked up, it was dark, she was gone. I felt pain in my abdomen. Now I get the joke.

three years,
some days I no longer count,
but you were the second woman I loved;
the first to love me back,
& the first to break my heart...
...
Darling, wherever you are I hope you're happy and free
'Cuz I'm still right where you left me...
//on my ex girlfriend//

First of two 3 year anniversaries for me in the coming months. **** 2017.
