Disposable likes

Dispensable loves

I wish I could throw it all away.

Somebody tell all these recyclable guys
To step down from their endless pride
and just be sustainable- but reusable for later

Reducible heartbreaks

Reprized 'I love you's'

I wish there was a safe way to get rid of our minds.

Without polluting everything around our youth
Because none of us want our children knowing
That one day they might be susceptible to that typa thing...

The world would be such a better place if we didn't waste

Maybe if we all knew

Sometimes we need to dispose of things the right way;
Instead of putting in on top of another pile-

It would be.
Take it how you want it, but this is definitely not about the earth.

Even when you
express your thoughts
in a respectful way,
you'll find more
often than not,
you'll be told
assuredly,
you're wrong.

This is a tactic of those
hidden behind
status and clout.
They'll silence
your little voice
as they keep
right in your face
and shout.

You're entitled to yours
as they're entitled to theirs.
I want you to know, though,
those who refuse to let you speak,
have already decided inside
that you don't deserve autonomy.

Don't argue with the ill intended,
kids.

It's not your job to teach.

this generation
is afraid
of fire
tomorrow
and sadly
each other

how come we have
become accustomed to
appreciating the sound of your
breath
more
than our own?
everyone deserves to love themselves without a doubt in mind that someone -be it peers, teachers or parents- planted there!

We, the children of today
and the adults of tomorrow
will guide this world
enhance and refine it
we, the generation of miracles
will go forth
and destroy the word impossible
the destined ones
who will know all
blessed my god

I'm sick of it all
the typical modern day “love”
just built to fail
like we know what happens next

We are what our parents' parents
taught them to fear.
The atom of liberated thought,
the shallow, the queer, the lazy.
We are what our fathers were not,
or what they never had the ***** to be.
We are united by the hypothesis
of instant pleasure.
We are measured by dollar signs,
nickels, dimes, roaring down
Penny Lane blaring hip-hop,
dropping the surnames and
blaming the slave trade for
the stains on our rap sheets.
We are what comes after the comma
in the history book sentence,
sentenced to life in mind-drug prison.
Listen!
We are going nowhere but forward.
We are the generation of disorder,
hoarders of unrealized potentials
who cross borders
just to say we did so.
We are the flame of ******* science
turning your bibles into embers.
We are the generation that
remembers to forget.
Let us take an inch and we will
turn it into a mile so you can
watch us march down it single-file
while you pray to god we don't
make it to Capitol Hill.
You know we will.
Listen!
We are the generation.

This Generation

We’re a generation of single mothers.

Generation X; a generation of sinners.

The jilted generation, rejected by society;

Look down upon, thought less of,

Underestimated…just as we wish to be.

Heads bowed
Respect is due
Mindless slaves of prayer
Fingers tap a dedicated chant
The sounds of life fade

Life itself fades

Necks bent
Forever craned
Eyes worship the light
Don’t look away from the light

Screen shattered
Gravel stained
3477 sacrifices per day

Three thousand
Four hundred
Seventy seven sacrifices
Per day

One tap for likes
Two taps for loves
Three taps for Rest In Peace

Picking up the pieces of
Windshield, heart and phone screen

Three thousand
Four hundred
Seventy seven sacrifices
Per day

Heads bowed
I’m sorry for your loss
Respect is due
A moment of silence for
You
Mindless slaves of prayer

Amen

Why does no one hear us when we call?
We call out for change,
they say "you're too young"
When we reman silent,
they say, "why don't you say anything?"
When we ask for help,
they call us weak.
when we push through,
they ask us why we don't get help.
When we cry,
they call us "too emotional."
When we don't show any emotion,
they say we're not "emotional enough."

Why is it never enough?
We try and try and try again,
but it's never enough.
How can we please you?
Maybe we can't.
Maybe we will always be silent

I suppose that's out greatest weapon
The silence of out generation
Wow that was angsty
