You bloom in adversity,
Feeling life at its fullest,
Solving problems left and right,
Mindset sharper than bullets,

Persistent at every task,
Unafraid to show fear or cover it with a mask,
Using brute honesty to prevail,
Conquering darkness,
Healing ails,

Planting seeds,
To a brighter future,
Dissipating gloom & despair,
Releasing the fragrance of hope,
To grace our air,

Shine with the sun,
Absorb its power,
Grow,
Become one with the Universe,
Flow, you beautiful flower.

Beds of wilted and ruined flowers are better than no garden at all
Josephine Wilea Jan 2020
today at lunch
I saw lilly -
like the flower but
with another l,
a fake -
your girlfriend
(soon to be ex
but you don't know that yet)
she actually smiled at me -
i think she was surprised
i hope so -
in response
my ****** muscles
contorted into a
smile(?) more false
than i ever believed i was
capable of producing.
it wasn't really a smile
it was
******* For Ripping Her Away From Me
it was
I Would Like To Punch You But Self Control
maybe (fingers crossed)
it scared her.

I always thought of spring as a new beginning;
the start of something new or
the rebirthing of the fallen,
like flowers in bloom after the dead, cold winter

It's what you've always wanted—those cold
winter months are nothing but a buffer to you
and I, the unwitting victim, thought I could
ever be enough for you

But I'm no flower, I'm no spring
I'm not a beginning or a rebirth—
I am death, I am winter
I am the end and the endless void

I'm the buffer you only ever wanted to cling to
until the cold subsides, until you can
come back to your old life—
in my wake, there won't be a drop of tear

Today I got a flower.
I put it in a bowl with water and dirt.
every day, water it,
again and again,
but the flower didn't seem to like this.

I continued my routine
Until the flower was feeble and I stopped.
I asked a friend, “no idea,” they said.
That was a lie. I don't have any friends.

But turns out the flower didn't need
the water and I needed something else.
have I found it?

You told me
there was a certain beauty in the never-return —
cherries wither into whispers of smoke,
river shivers upon winter's stroke
sparrows mourn and sing and forget,
how we used to be strangers, lovers, then strangers again
deep in the darkness you stared at me, smiling
with a mouth of pearly teeth
crushing the piling blossoms underneath, saying
I better remember this fading fragrance, and
carry it to your grave,
for this is our last parade.
Wrote this in a haste, didn't think it's good enough

You wrap your icy fingers around my petals,
around me,
and you squeeze squeeze squeeze,
until I escape and hide inside,
and warm myself by the fire,
safe in my flowerpot.

I want to breathe your flowers.
To take in your thoughts and extending vines of knowledge.
Your intoxicating grace captivates me.

It surely captivates everyone around you
and it captivates our friends.
They gravitate towards you
and I can't blame them.

You're beautiful,
smart,
funny,
charismatic,
and pretty much every other good thing about a person.

I am nowhere in comparison.
You don't have to deal with the intrusive thoughts
or the breakdowns that appear out of thin air
or the weight of not being enough.
You don't have to deal with the weight comments,
or the acne tips from everyone you know,
or the intense burn of insecurity when you wear anything restricting.
No, you're perfect,
and I'm fundamentally broken.

Everyone will cry when you're gone
but no one will bring a flower to my grave.

You bloomed in me...
          In a deep dark night...
Like a moon light...
          Shines in my soul...
That no one can see...
           Like you engraved in me...
And shine so bright...
          Like moon shines...
Deep down in my sea...
As a night queen...
    Your thin petals,
             seems as a crown...
And shines,
             like a diamond...
With all the radiance...
    That attract,
             thousands of viewers...
To have a glance...
     That shower as rain drops...
             Like a blessed view...
She bloomed in night...
           Like a moon flower....
Deep in my heart...
And spark as bright as light...
           That removed all darkness...
             In my lonely planet..
But never allowed anyone...
             As close as me...
To know her true light...
That blooms in dark night...
With a lovely fragrance...
That spreads everywhere...
           An amazing night bloom...
Steals every heart...
With shining brightness...
That smile whole night...
As the moon kissed her...
To bloom with its radiance...
A night queen flower...
Born under moonlight...
Once bloomed in me...
With all its shine..
That remains in me..
As a shining light..
Which made me shine..
All day and night.
Night queen flower bloomed in me as a moon light in my soul.
