Oh…Human’s heart is not like steel,
No matter what some people say.
We bend, we fall. Loss makes us kneel
And turns all colors into grey.
We know the grief that never passes
After we lose someone so dear…
Our hearts (like empty crystal glasses)
Are filled by life with pain and fear.
We’re looking for some quiet shelter
To hide and wait; may time decide
When all this noisy, senseless welter
Will lose its strength and will subside.
Enduring loss is probably the hardest art.
We learn to master it through pain.
But truth is written in our aching heart:
We’ll heal and rise to live and love again.
‘cause if there’s love, if memories remain,
Our guardians will all be nearby!
Realization’s growing, grain by grain -
The ones we love... They never, ever die.
