Sleep my dear
Cause the demons are near
No they can't touch you
But they'll hurt you just the same
No you're not to blame
You're just caught up in this wicked game
Like all of us
Oh, like all of us

But be strong, love
Just give your all
That's enough
Stay alive
and that's enough
You got your role I got mine
And I've got to stay tough
For the both of us
For the both of us
I hope that'll be enough

You find me within
the interim for I will
be recognized as

the final. Though the
distance is my shelter, I
am near at hand;

on my way just to
get in yours. Reflect me; see
what is hiding your beneath.

You're just like
good decaf coffee
because I can
enjoy all of you,
every nuance and
subtlety without
the fear of
getting too wired,
too anxious from
the stimulus.
No, there's
no regret in
enjoying you.
A poem about my wife.

I can see right through you,
You're not that cold person you want to be.
Your heart is tender, mild; but you just don't want people to know about it.

I get it, your hurt, you're trying not to get hurt. But you've  seen yourself at your worse and you know your worth more than that.

Don't let it bring you down.
Bring that wall you've built down, you'll see you'll find beautiful flowers along the way.

Don't torture yourself, 'cause that's all you do.
It was time for me to post something else than depressive stuff

Do not grudge pain
It holds on its hot blanket
The evidence of life
Handled and well managed
Life from it
Takes its meaning
Attach encouraging words on the essays
Instead of job applications at fast food places

Can you show me your arms?
Can you show me your legs?
Can you show me your face?
Can you shoe me your soul?
Baby girl, it will all be alright
Stop cutting
Stop crying
They're not worth it.
At the end, you're all you have.

A year starts as a whole life
It moves to a ninth
Then, an eighteenth and you're scared for that life
A twenty-fifth wondering "Was I right?"
Before long a year draws on

They change and morph until you're only the same at the core
They go from fiftieths or more
And even though you've worried and mourned
Don't let a year stop you from walking through a door
