Take me by the hand,
see me through your placid garden.
Walk with me, St. Mary's.

March me in time to your rhythm;
let me wield the mallet that beats your drum.
Sing to me, St. Mary's.

String my sole into the primordial web
within the black walnut tree.
Lay with me, St. Mary's.

Close my eyes and tilt me back;
dip me into the murky pond.
Baptize me, St. Mary's.

Take me down to the fiery shoreline;
we'll linger beneath the countenance of the rugged cross.
Crucify me, St. Mary's.

Sit me by your mystic grave,
cast a silent earthy veil over me.
Bury me, St. Mary's.

Chip me from the rock, free me of these shackles,
rocket me into the heavens.

Liberate me, St. Mary's.
St. Mary's College of Maryland.

St. Mary's, I obligatorily board the biding vessel,
I drift from your shores in the midnight hour,
I sail home where I must lay my weary head;

but little do they know,
you are my bedfellow,
St. Mary's.
To the commuters who disperse their being between two different worlds.

So I say, it's wonderful; definitely wonderful that we have ambitious
generous teachers who cares for us

                     who?

I mean they will drop their personal matters for sake of us
Respect them, they are the heroes
I call them christ, they allow their powers to care

                      and

put their future in hazards
Who do you think can live his or her family matters for you?
The one with a pile of expenses?
The one with a number of cars?

Either the one with a double storey house?
Give them the blessings,
care as they care
they must be motivated incentives

The future of our society relies on their sacrifices
Education can cure all pandemics together with social problems
Be available, they are there for you
and the future is yours.
I heard it in my youth, and I've heard it once again.
You banish it away, it always comes back again.
Pain, they say, will always make you stronger.
Then when it hurts, why can't I live any longer?

Pain is not supposed to strengthen your soul.
Only your mind it strengthens "and" it leaves a hole,
And that hole is filled with poison to dull the pain,
And that poison will weaken you, like acid rain.

Apparently what you don't know won't hurt you.
That's right. It only hurts everybody else... "true".
People who eventually hurt you another way.
You'll tell them, "Go away, come again another day."

"It doesn't **** you." "Only cats have nine lives."
Because I'm aware of the multiverse, these knives,
Called dysfunctional lovers, friendships, and family,
Have killed me a thousand times; I live candidly.

I live honestly, because the pain of seeding a lie,
Can grow a thorny bush, upon seeing it you cry,
When you're pricked by the destruction of all,
Your chaos, wondering why you don't get a call.

Pain is good for lessons, that's why it's all around,
It's not that you're getting strong, only wiser.
Pain brings you to your knees, makes you touch ground,
For the power, you are weaker, only wiser.
Whatever happened to the promises
We made for the greater good?
What are we doing to keep them?
Are we doing less than we should?

What are we teaching our children now?
Are we teaching them at all?
What will they grow up to be?
Will they live to become our downfall?

Did we forget our own language?
Or did we simply not learn in the first place?
And have we no words to write
And no words to say?

What good are our brains
If we have no mind to use them?

Is this the best we can do?
Have we reached our limits?
Can we aim high no longer?
Are we fated to aim forever low?

How many times must we be warned
Until we get the message?
Are the ones who warn wasting their breath?
Are we going deaf?

How much blood do we have to spill?
How much damage do we have to cause and feel?
Have we gone blind?
Whatever happened to goodwill?

What's to become of the loving ones?
What's to become of the earnest ones?
What's to become of everyone with a heart?

Are all the good people doomed
To be used by the bad?

Is this the best we can do?
Have we reached our limits?
Can we aim high no longer?
Are we fated to aim forever low?

What about faith, hope and love?
What about those who live to love?

What about faith, hope and love?
What about those who live for love?

What about faith, hope and love?
What about those who live in love?

What about faith, hope and love?
What about those who live and love?
In response to the headlines at the start of this month as well as the issues they describe (e.g. national illiteracy, incompetent politicians, crime and terrorism, etc.)...

Hardship is what drives you to determination.
Success is the product of determination.
Dedication awards you pride & self-worth.
Self-worth permits access to happiness.
Happiness allows the heart to love.
Love provides for meaning.
Meaning is desired for purpose.
Purpose is what leads one to the enjoyment of living.

You determine your own success.
What you conclude for your life is in your hands.
No one can give you determination
You need to strive for it to use it.
Once you have it, it is yours forever.
Thus without hardship,
One cannot fully appreciate the sacrifice of their own success.

I wrote this in my early 20s, when I wanted to quit university. I posted it on my fridge, and read it every morning for motivation to finish my degree.

We do the right thing for the right reasons
Struggling with moral questions
Questing for truth beyond misconceptions
The poet, philosopher, heart seeker
The speaker, social worker, Teacher
Without weapons and violence
Our hearts bleed as much as our bodies
Locked in love marching on
To be better, to be an example
Even when they trample us
Beneath their steel toed injustice
Pushed by pulpit pedophiles
and political predators
When they say fear and hate
We say hope and love
