Red
Do your lips
Match your heart?
They're both red,
But different shades.
Does that mean
That they clash
With one another?
Or are they able
To embrace each other?
To embrace their differences?
Oh, what a wonderful collaboration
Of the soul...
Another draft :)))

We're probably very different,
You and I
But maybe I don't want to feel disconnected
When our viewpoints don't match
When I become separated from you

There's more to life, you see
Than focusing on our differences,
What separates us

When we disagree, we disconnect
From each other
I can feel it
You can feel it too
Don't tell me you can't
I've heard those words
Enough to know they aren't true

So please, when I say
Let's not discuss politics,
It means
I only want to remain close with you
I don't want to be pushed away

So now, rather than re-hashing old news
Like politics, or rather,
What separates us,
Let's explore what unites us,
What brings us closer to each other
Within the beauty of where
Our commonalities lie

Because as I said,
I just want to feel close to you

I look misplaced.

For I don't see,
We are the same.

We are unique,
in our own way.

But we are all wilting in the same way,
Slowly,
Surely,
Shamefully,
And soon completely gone.

Every back and forth motion
with lost notion,you desire of
I have no fantasy as such
i mean,undoubtedly
the child has grown
but,yet not ready to moan

With every aroma of arousal, nothing but wet
may be,no such awaken soul have I met
Dark and desperate usually doesn't relate
Even in dictionary, they aren't in same page

You and me ; two different entity
trying to escape with own's dignity
All those invincibility,
weakens with the lack of immunity
but,with every quench of thirst
there's your ******
how can something so forceful bring such "divine god"
I force my mind to think
Force my heart to believe
Force myself into something
but,nothing works
not like yours.

i
am just waiting for five o'clock to get here.
and you
are over there hoping five o'clock never comes.
we
live in parallel universes for a moment.

my bones
ache from the weight of your soul.
and your bones
can't survive without a crutch called me.
we
live in parallel universes for a moment.

my eyes
open the rising of the sun.
and your eyes
widen with the waning of the moon.
we
live in parallel universes for a moment.

i
no longer love you.
and you
finally fell in love with me.
we live in parallel universes for a moment.
this poem was originally a text message i sent to my fiance because i leave work at five and that is when he starts work.  i look forward to five and he dreads it. the first stanza is the only part that holds any true relevance to my life. i had a good idea for a poem after sending him that, so i wrote this. ;)

They defined potential energy as the kind possessed by a body by virtue of its position relative to others.

So if we took the gravity of our attraction, multiplied by with how far we fell and how much we mattered in each other's heart, could we then calculate the capacity of our possible future?

Should that be the case, then could I pick up samples of your burnt cigarette cities for examination while walking down the straight aisles of your rational mind?

Or would you like to participate in a scavenger hunt for my shards of emotion last seen in the bittersweet galleries full of old sculptures that hang from my every limb?

Could your aisles lead to my galleries? Would you lead me in a waltz to lift my weighted being? Should I pick apart the ashes to find the lingering thoughts you've burnt?

Hypothesis? We will never be the same. But I long for this mirrored perspective, when we'll be lovers, lovers at last.

None of us are hard to define, really.
Complex, arrogant, head strong,
are just the tags that we gave ourselves.

None of us are difficult to understand, really.
Secretive, cryptic, reserved,
are just the ways we chose to be.

None of us are any different here, really.
Short, tall, dark, fair, ugly, beautiful,
are just mere words I would say.

None of us are entirely alike, really.
Not even the twin children I suppose,
but the love we all share is just the same.

None of us are identical to each other, really.
Contrasting ideals and opinions are always there,
but the tears we all shed are just the same.

None of us were meant to be clones, really.
This doesn't mean we discriminate and differentiate,
after all, the happiness we all experience is just the same.
Every soul is experiencing such radical perspectives.
No matter how much you think you understand, you don't.
My
body
aches.
Hating what I've done.
Hating who I've become.
Where did I go wrong?
Has it been that long?
Have I forgot what it means to live but merely i exist.
Whatever the circumstance is I know I will live.
I will fight for health.
We are warriors of light.
In this hollow place.

We must thrive, or we shall die.

Part I

No words need be spoken
Inhaling loudly,
She is mindful and content.
The only artifice here
A camera in her gear;
This instant in a frame
As wonders engulf her,
She claims.

I stand at the centre,
Swamped by
The tick of high heels and chatter.
Mindful and composed,
Left aghast
By the mass who walk past.
The right words come up
Binding my feelings to my art.

Part II**

Smell the air
Both dig inspiration
Elsewhere;

Differences
Of worldly proportions
Our nature
Do not fit by definition.

Entering each other's realm,
We love to understand.

May this gap
Be bridged with time
For I am afraid

We do not rhyme.

I live in the East
You live in the West
I roll to the right
You lean to the left

You watch the game,
I text my friends for fun.
You write every day,
What awaits me is always unsung.

I'm one that loves vanilla
While you prefer your chocolate
You live life in the open
I tend to close and lock it

I like the night,
You await the morning.
My sunsets, purple and pink,
Your sunrise has orange hues adorning.

I'm early to bed early to rise
You never seem to close your eyes
These days I'm moving rather slow
As you're always on the go

You have your coffee with cream,
I have my Kombucha tea.
You grill up some steaks to eat,
I say pass the salad to me.

Though we're miles apart
In differences between
Commonality we definitely
Have in our love of poetry

Thanks for sticking around through my bit of absence, you guys. I'm still writing. Take care, all!
