I think I made a wrong turn somewhere.
I mean, I guess- well, it's embarrassing, but I just kept following my GPS
even when the roads got rough
and my gut felt a little strange
(you know it, right?  That twinge you start to get when you realize you have no idea where you are?)
and before I knew it,
I was in the middle of nowhere.

Maybe the batteries are low,
though you'd think they'd install some kind of warning about that-
I mean, people are depending on these things, you know, to get them places.
They've even got them in phones.

Google Maps, I hear.

Anyway, I really...I really think I'm lost.
Could you give me directions?

Nothing,
No sense of belonging
No place to go
Disappointment running through your veins
A place of no value
A sense of emptiness.
Working hard has no value anymore,
The time of commitment is long gone.
Nothing,
No sense of the future
No expectations
Just you,
Standing there
With nothing to hope for anymore.
There's a certain melancholy as I look out the window
the train swaying slowly, billowing smoke as it goes
my thoughts, clouded as they are, reforming me
I close my eyes and imagine the fields passing by.

I try to bring up the happiest memory I have
it's somewhere in there, formless and drifting
yet all I can remember is the path that I have traveled
all I can remember is the path that I have to travel.

I've been on this road for far too long
drifting from one destination to another
searching for an oasis in this endless desert
I am a traveler grown weary of the same old mirage.

The cabin rattles and pulls me out of my stupor
I go back to staring at those endless farms
this momentary respite from the journey
has slowly become the fondest memory of mine.

Smiling, I laugh at my own childishness
of wishful thinking, of dreaming about my goals
my destination is not at the end of these tracks
rather, it's these fields that I am passing through.

Floating in the sea,
Drifting through the wind,
Without a destination.

Some may think it's sad,
But I believe it's freedom.

Of all the roads I have taken, this one was by far the most special, as it led me straight to you.

happiness
it’s what we all wish for
it’s what we all strive to be
happy

I sometimes think about it
what does it mean to be happy?
to have your dream career?
to have a significant other?
to have children?

society makes it seem as though
happiness is a destination, not a mood
but that isn’t what happiness is at all
happiness: the state of being happy
state: the particular condition that someone or something is in at a specific time

so to be happy
doesn’t always mean you are permanently happy
happiness comes and goes
and that’s okay

you never know where you're gonna get.

Is it left?
Is it right?
Is it there among the trees of oak?
Is it before the crystal waters of the sea?

Please madam is it among the country road?
Is it there? Among the safeguard of the lighthouse?
Is it here where I stand?
Here? Am I to be lost in this center of blindness?
Center of confusion?

It must be among light
Doomed among demons?
Here among the darkest center of earth?
Why this treacherous land?

Among the ashes of once beautiful land
dwelling upon the light of life
A simple sight lost from these clouded eyes
Doomed to die upon the familiar sadness this cage holds.
Sometimes the spot you're in ***** and there just isn't a way out.
