you’ve made me realise that a man
can truely care

and that not everything in love is
truth or dare

i could talk with you until the
end of time

and now, i am able to forever
call you mine
enamoured by u x

The water of love
was unbearably hot
for my soul.

Time and again,
I had tried to get
into the water,
But just the touch
of it, and I would fled,
but it had the attraction,
its touch would haunt
me afterwards,
It would penetrate
my dreams.

Each time, I went a little
further into it,
but fled away,
Each effort took me closer,
And today, finally,
the spider made its web.
Today, finally, I settled into
love...

Shall one dare to raise the question,
"What is the legitimacy of His Majesty's ruling?"
One would surely be relieved of their head.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
'Tis alright, however, since there is still freedom.
"What such freedom exists, when one cannot question another?"
Much freedom still exists in other aspects, so fear not, ignorant one.
Anyways, you should have no reason to question His rule,
For you have served this kingdom well, my feigning innocence.
You, sir, have done wondrously in raising your sword to the enemy.
"But, Father, if I may interject, how come I do not feel free?"
You swore your blood and marrow to the wealth of His Majesty,
And now one such as you dares to raise that prickling question?
You shall have your freedom in due time, my withered husk.
"Father, who is the Majesty?"
You do not ask of the King's personal affairs.
"But, respectfully, I do want to know who it is I am fighting for."
You are fighting on the behalf of our country, for the greater good.
"Father, that does not answer my question. Who is he?"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Fine, my woeful son--do you wish to know who the King is?
He is standing right in front of you,

And he orders your execution.

Dare to breathe
in the space of those on pedestals.

Dare to love
in the face of those who hate.

Dare to grow
from your past mistakes.

Dare to hope
in a world lost without it.

I dare you.

They are on the tip of her tongue.
The words she wishes to say.
Internally, her mind is racing.
Her thoughts, jumbled.

How can she tell him what's on her mind without him turning away?
How can she explain that when he is around, the words stick.
That when she thinks about what to say she becomes sick.

She grabs a sheet of paper,
and a pen.

Her thoughts begin to untangle,
the storm in her mind becomes calm.
The words that were stuck like glue begin to flow onto the page.
They flow with ease, and with grace,
right onto that perfect , white, page.

Does she dare show him this page?
Does she dare open herself up?
Does she dare leave herself vulnerable?

Does she dare?
With a pen and that piece of paper in hand,
she asks herself
"Do I dare?"
When I am with people my words seem to get stuck in my mind. It is like I am paralyzed, but not with fear. it is that my thoughts are running at one-hundred miles a minute. The debate between my heart and my head becomes too much. So I revert to what I know. Writing.

Don't tell me I can't do it,
I'll disprove you every time;
Don't tell me I won't make it,
when I've made it all my life.
~
Don't tell me that I'll fail,
I'll make you eat your words;
Don't tell me that you dare me,
I'll take your dare for sure.
~
Don't tell me I'm a loser,
when I have known success;
Don't tell me I'm a quitter,
when I've seen you quit yourself.
~
Don't tell me I'm a liar,
when all I say is true;
Don't tell me that I'm hopeless,
when I hope good things for you.
~
Don't tell me God has left me,
the Bible is my proof;
Don't say a single word,
'til you've walked in both my shoes.
