Your slim body,
Your gentle movements,
Your angelic eyes
Are all a part of our last dance.

It’s messy,
Wild,
Hot,
Amusing.

I was thirsty for you;
I still am.
Our bodies link —
We are dancing in sync.

I see the sorrow in your eyes,
Mixed up with euphoria from the drinks you had.
I can feel my body full of you.
I can sense your body full of me.

I watch your fragile hand,
Moving to the beat of music.
I look at my own —
It’s following yours.

Every move you do,
I copy.
Every feeling you have,
I have.

I’m not able to let go.
I’m too addicted to let you free.
Your suffering from it,
I know.

But the moment had come
And you part from my hand.
You distance so quickly,
And I’m left here with a hole in my heart.

Rain is
The dance of intertwined souls,
Whispers of lovers beneath moonlight,
An eternal prayer of love and boundless giving.
Nature’s song in muted syllables,
A kiss of passion and beauty upon the earth.
The embryo of new life,
A promise of roses and tulips yet to bloom.
A liberation of the mind—from the chains of fear and stress.
A call to awakening,
A beginning with a rebirth of hope.
The essence of life—God’s sacred water.

A shatter of glitter
Breaks over her eyes
When she looks in the mirror:

Swathes of pink
Speckled by silver circles
Matched by the anxious glittering
Of the waterfall
That is her earrings.

It's her last glance
To hold the spectre
Of herself
Until she explodes
With the other girls;
Prim and dainty.

ariane.
all those lunches throughout the school year,
do you remember?
not just the two of us,
but somehow that still.

like the day of the dance-
i let you borrow my floral vintage dress,
and we all tried it on at our lunch table.

when i think of you,
i think of the way you twirled
and how the skirts flew in the air
and oh
how you laughed

at the dance we all posed for photos
looking at the camera
our mouths lip-gossed and pouting.
but my eyes always strayed back to you
and in one polaroid,
i’m smiling.

this is what i’ve been trying to tell you.

it's actually so frustrating to have a crush on someone and also she'd never like me back it's literally hopeless

danse macabre
a silent dead
my wistful words
twirling on a thread

morbid bows
aching dips
a pang of music
from my own lips

pirouettes, no claps
stiffened formation
a stage near collapse

then—only silence
all from this cage
a sleeping ode
to my dying age

I'm not much of a dancer

Rythm is something that beats in me
But rests inside

Can't get it to run from the valve through the vains
And reach my fingers

Escape and work me free

Although I hear it like a clock's hand's echo
Commanding my will

I'll never dance

But the current will flow and burn my fuse
Overload the circuit

Because too much has been asked of me
And I had no release

And no matter how electrifying the song may be

I resist

Together we'll dance in fields of gold,
As love's sweet song is forever told,
And our heart,
as one, will surely hold,
The love we share, forever bold.
Just thinking… how love feels like dancing in sunlight forever.

You are more radiant than the sun
my words lean upon
you like gravity pushes us down
but in those sounds
are the meanings that ground
my very existence
and life
if anything relates to you
it tends to send me into a dreaming state
Scheming late
to win you at all costs
in this game of life
which trees survive frosts
to bear fruit
like actions
you are more than a distraction
you are my everything
and yet I keep coming back
and I am taken
my heart is awakened not bored
I live aboard your wishes
which dance like dandelion seeds
on the wind
I love you I love you I love you lots.

We were walking, the painter and I,
Across the plain and towards the hill.
The moon had waxed into her glory
Causing the zephyrs to sigh.

We rested awhile at the foot of the rise
Nestled in a comfortable silence.
The night moved on languid feet
Passion hidden under a serene guise.

We took the path on the dark leeward
My golden quill our only light.
The painter promised a spectacle
And anticipation fueled my climb

Cherry Blossoms swirled in the wind,
As we stood on silver bathed ground.
A man stood at the edge of the hill,
His hands on the railing, waiting.

Under the tree he stood.
The flowers hiding the wrinkles
Of his suit and his skin.
His gaze fixed upon the moon.

My friend and I sat against a boulder
And waited with him.
The wind whispered with the flowers
And the Sakura tree sang to the night.

The song was impossible,
Yet hear it we did.
Violins and keys, flutes and harps -
A haunting tune of longing.

And as the song rose,
A woman stood beside the man;
A bride clad in a moonlight gown,
Her veil of starshine trailing behind.

The man took her hand,
And the woman drew closer.
And groom and bride,
They danced among the flowers.

Wrinkles were smoothened
Trembling hands strengthened
Faltering feet trode sure
And wilting heart bloomed anew.

Happiness perfused the air.
Cruelly brief the phenomenon would be -
So the man knew, and chose to forget.
He held on to the past and danced.

We sat there, intruders and fools,
Too ashamed to look on,
Too enthralled to look away,
Until sleep hid them from our eyes.

The melody rains with the petals,
Tears dance with the smiles.
The waltz of the weary hearts
Lasts as long as the moon.
Inspired by the song 'Dearest' by Ayumi Hamasaki
