So it seems I am relinquished
has come to this, that I can't
hold my body on my own
be the shoulder for my head
be my own mission
with a fingertip to my lips
I own this and don't have
to say anything when I do
My case is as I do
let me show you
Let me know you
as I, as you do
So it seems I cannot breathe when
I get winded explaining
in detail each of my moves
I pull the rope to curtain
revel and withhold
specific miseries as I wish
I own this and don't have
to say anything when I do
My case is as I do
let me show you
Let me know you
as I, as you do

Wait; don’t pull the sheets, just yet
Give me a moment to breathe, to let the last tear fall
A broken heart still lies on an unmade bed

Let the smoke clear of the red stained cigarette
It’s funny, how even in daylight, a whisper darkens all
Wait; don’t pull the sheets, just yet

What is love, if not an exciting game of roulette?
Time played its hand; better place a bet, fate now holds the ball
A broken heart still lies on an unmade bed

To be fair, it wasn’t all blood, tears and sweat
Who was the winner who was the loser? It was far too close to call
Wait; don’t pull the sheets, just yet

Tell me, would I be easy, to write off as a love lost; to forget
Or do you, like me, spend sleepless nights, for a late night phone call
A broken heart still lies on an unmade bed

Don’t close your eyes, there isn’t much to regret
I’m not ready yet, to release my breath; for the curtain call
Wait; don’t pull the sheets, just yet
A broken heart still lies on an unmade bed

Upon my shoulder, place your head
The road is tough and can be full of dread
Don’t dwell on things cause life is short
Turn to your family, friends for support

Be careful, life could also be long
If the decisions we make are wrong
Stand your ground, test your strength
Keep your troubles at arm’s length

Take a breath and close the curtain
Life and future are uncertain
No matter how it turns out to be
There’s always you and me

I see it there
The curtain on the wall
Where there is no window.
There is nothing to cover,
Yet it stays tied shut.
The lace tails quiver
With imaginary wind;
It drips with
Invisible rain.
Monotonous is his existence,
Repetition for the sake of routine.
He crushes his heart into a cage,
And hides from the world he can't see.
He builds up fear to satisfy his paranoia,
and watches as his fragile hands bleed.
Stained fingers brush away the curtain,
So he can see another scene.
Below him, puppets stare,
As he effortlessly rips reality.
Without a thought he lets out,
The darkness that remains unseen.
