war
a ***** war between language and forgetting

Gulag,  Holocaust, Holodomor, Maafa
Operation Condor,  Shock and Awe
red famine, potato famine
the kurdish, uyghur, rohingya, Isaaq genocide
Bengal, Rwanda, Armenia, Ukraine, Palestine,
Burundi, Nigeria, Zimbabwe
encompassing the geography of cruelty
someone humane did
actually write a book of inhumanity
560000 people killed on every page
1500 people killed at every word

still can't decipher the blood as if it's a hieroglyph
insatiable the history of pain

some are in the mood for war, for triumph
our eyes are swallowed by a verticalless convulsion
the cyclopic mind is doomed to fail
it's impossible to bury this time
in a hacked sky over a fragile earth

It's too late
Though I'm supposed to love you
I permeate with hate
the weight of what you've done to me
turns feelings into fate

Reality is so unreliable. In the water of life we surf the wave of chance. Rise or fall as hunters in the snow. The isolating future is already here. But people are still people, they still need each other. The anachronistic branch of knowledge we are dedicated to - the day in, day out - is a deluded science. It is we who would be the objects of enquiry and fascination to an alien mind. Humanity is the true wonder, the true miracle.

Am I just a fly on the wall to you?

Simple, and plain
A thing to be ignored

But you should know
This delicate flower is easily burned
The petals will fall off
And the ashes float up into the night

You have my thanks for teaching me this truth

If you are cruel in this cruel world,
You survive
If you are kind in this cruel world,
You become the victim.
The first part is about someone who is always listening, and feeling like you're being ignored and tossed to the side because people are talking about you when they know that you can hear them, the middle part is about getting hurt from always listening, and the last part is about how often times kind people get hurt more often than cruel people.

Three burly sheriffs showed
up at my neighbors
house yesterday.
Scowls on scarred faces.
Tattered lives, tarnished
brains.
Five minutes later,
they were walking my
friend out in handcuffs.
He shuffled, head down.
Autumn frowned and the
leaves scuttled away in
disgust.

Today, the vultures swooped
in, picked the bones of all
his earthly possessions that
littered what was once his
front lawn.
Jackals, and hideous
hyena faced men and
women took the last of
his things.

Even though he was
arrested, he still
grows.
and although they are
free, they die more
daily in their own
private evictions.
I've seen more
humanity at a
hanging.

well aren't you the gallowgas ?
you cram the funeral into fun
hiding in a private room    suckling at your sad self
whilst secretly hoping  to be found lonely
depressions' muppet
                            *****  like confession
and hungry like the wound

They keep on taking,

I am already empty.

What else can you strip me of?

My soul is already naked,

My flesh exposed

My heart vulnerable and lost

you were cruel
the intoxicating type of cruel
the type that'll lure me to you

to everyone you'd be a monster,
to me
you're one cruel son of a gun..
the type I'll be keeping
forever.

now what's really cruel is how much you ignore me,
how much you make me jealous
it makes me insane, love...

just please be more gentle with my heart?
don't use it like a punching bag...
I beg of you..
