Seen a shooting star tonight,
while I was laying by your side,
wishing you were all alright,
tears blinding your catty sight.

Calling you from a telephone booth,
how did I get to be so smooth?
Through all the lying days of my youth,
there's this coffee cup with shot of truth.

Just as selfish as your friends,
no pleasing habit never ends,
my heart, my soul you lends,
all my life on you depends.

I tried to recover from being with you,
all day just feelin' sad and blue,
it's unbelievable but true,
you were the world I never knew.

I've only known careless love,
far from the sky, homesick as dove,
that bitter greeting from above,
repelled holding my hand, even with glove.

All you do is cry to sleep,
and the dreams where shadows creep,
like a sea as wide and deep,
too much promises we had to keep.

Thinking of me while kissing her lips,
I'm unforgettable as a total eclipse.
symmetrical features, those round hips,
once they knew my body, greedy fingertips.

Abandonment, our biggest fear,
still standing alone with nobody near,
screaming, but didn't seem to anybody hear,
I told you that I will be sincere.

Dew drops placate
the hungry grass

Sun--breaking night's serenity
leaving us forgetting ebony

Fire bugs breathing
in star luminance

Moon--who prefers to assuage
lovingly dims the Sun's immanent rage

Step into the moment
with bated breath,
There will come
the beguilement
and whispered shadows at play,
they seem to congeal around
conflagration of wills
and spirits considered outré.

And if it should rain
within these walls,
we'll advance south and sneak
under cover.
Fingers will find,
lips will linger and remind.
It will be a slow
recovery this time.

The places we travel go beyond
the arms reach,
they war for supremacy,
they alter and spasm,
they're random, but hover
between us in unity.

This dance we make
is an intimate ballet,
this push and pull
a blissful menagerie,
a wrinkle in time
we call ecstasy.
In kisses christened as luminaries,
appointing our own ceiling
— a mural painted in the keen
colors of craving.

The years of such sweet communion
have built this shelter, this nest,
and here together we rest.
And we are no less surrendering
to them than straddling the heavens
— the gauze of time,
timber and tranquility enmeshed,
and wishing it never ends.

We are a couple of humans
beyond gender and race
What do you see
when you look at my face?

We are a couple of lovers
beyond culture and its pride
How would you act
if you were to put traditions aside?

Days folding neatly into weeks that eventually coalesce to months...

Did you miss me?
Did you think of me, seeing the gaping space between us, stretching ever tediously by miles of land and sea between us?
Did you miss the lack of it, where only the mere fabric of our clothes kept our warmth apart from one another?
Does it bother you, not being able to reach out and touch my warmth, being left with grasping yearningly onto thin air when overcome by nostalgia?
Do you take reverie trips when having my garments in your hands, smell my familiar scent to let loose the waves of emotions drown you?
Do you feel the emptiness around you haunt you menacingly and the cold of isolation, despite the warm sunrays bathing your room and kissing your skin?
Do you feel exasperated when hearing me but unable to touch me, feel me and just have me entirely?

I know you do, as do I.

The unpredictability of today and even more so of tomorrow makes the anxious more desperate for reunion, the many torn between inability to come together rave for some sliver of silver lining to get caught even accidentally by their convoluted fate.

Don’t worry, darling. The wait will be over. Soon. Until then, remember me and remember me often as I remember you so fiercely so I can come to you in your dreams, if not in reality, yet.
