It's a cool October morning
on campus
across the way children play
you see college students make their way from one class to another
living out these lives that vary from
one existence into another

meanwhile, children play
and all the way these adults
to some and not others
make their way
some pretending
some barely surviving
some ridicule the experience
some express gratitude
because it's all some of us really have
this chance
that one day a future worth living may arise

and then all the while, children play
see,
we all wish we could turn back this clock that
lays both in our existence and our imagination
this clock
that holds these memories
that tells us we're far
and then so near
in the blink of an eye
tells us there may be something to fear
because by chance
one in a few
may not make it

all the while children play
we reminisce about our time
we tell ourselves we wish to turn back to the simple moments
but the truth is
this clock lays partially into existence
so that we may think back
and grasp what we didn't at the time
so that we may act
in accordance
when it comes time

its a cool October morning
on campus
across the way children play
as I make my way

Comfort Over Fashion

Making the Stuffy Suits nervous,
uncomfortable under all their outerwear,
which is ironic because we’re the ones underdressed,
because it’s still comfort over fashion and function over form,

so I guess it’s not that ironic,
that I didn’t iron anything I have on,
honestly these words speak for me,
I don’t have to say a thing as I sit in the front,
row of the show with a girl as good as gold,
I don’t have to prove anything to any of you,
never let your perception,
of their perception of you fool you,

better yet,
never let,
your perceived perception,
of their assumed perception,
fool you,

it’s not our fault that they feel uncomfortable,
we didn’t commit their sins for them,
we didn’t those two stiff shoes on their feet,
they chose their own clothes and decided to wear them,

we didn’t place them in their own insecurities,
so don’t let their insecurities make you feel insecure,
you’re not obnoxious it’s the sausage that they ate,
stuffed their face now they feel nauseous and awkward,

it’s not your date that’s making them nauseous,
it’s the sausage and the conscience that can’t be washed quick,
so stop this feeling awkward because they feel awkward nonsense,
just stop it and let us be us because to be us is an honor,

let you be your self let us be us,
and let them just be their uncomfortable selves,
all overdressed with all their uncomfortably stuffy stuff,

and we can just continue to make the Stuffy Suits nervous,
uncomfortable under all their outerwear,
which is ironic because we’re the ones underdressed,
because it’s still comfort over fashion and function over form…

Revolution is in the air
Like a morning mist
that lingers

Cool and not oppressive.

She cannot find words
to describe this hollowness inside her
as if her heart was carved out
and put on display
but everyone didn't bother take a second look
as they walked past her carved out heart
and they still had their own in their chest,
Pumping rythmically whilst she had not felt a beat for awhile now
but she did not ask for it to be removed,
it was simply stolen from her
By a boy with dark hair and a pale face
She'll never forget those crystal blue eyes;
as she could stare at them for days
Yet she's hollow now and his eyes were like the arctic,
Cold and indifferent
And it seemed as if he had never cared in the first place,
He just wanted her heart.
About a boy who stole a girl's heart

Yet no palm fronds fall.

He moved as though he were a bird flying
He was sonic.
He is amazing.
He is everything.
He is cool.

There was a girl that was so pretty
everyone cared about her
And she would feel pity for anyone
who would doubt her
She had a herd of sheep that never went
without her

She was nice on the outside but not within
She was a wolf in a sheep's skin
And she was as cold as tin
She didn't care if she sinned
so she swept the world under her feet
drama was just a treat
And a drama queen can never be beat
This is about a popular girl who fakes her personality, and is really a drama queen.

Superficial beauty is everywhere
And so is summer love affairs
Nobody even stops to care
or even realize that they teared
someone else's heart apart
Humans don't even know where to start
We should be kind to one another, treat each other all
as if we're sister and brother
And nobody has to be in starvation or sadness
if we just remove all the badness
that's in our hearts and in our mind
Then i think that we'd be fine
This is a positive poem, saying we should all be kind to eachother :)
