Do what they Love
Others
Love what they do
Ignatius Hosiana May 2016
You have to treasure
and love what you have
To have what you
treasure
and love
Pierson Pflieger Mar 2012
Monday:
We both don’t like today- long week ahead.
You say it will be ok.

Tuesday:
More tired than yesterday- so much to do.
You make dinner for us and let me work.

Wednesday:
Laundry heaping- I’m out of socks.
You give me a pair of yours.

Thursday:
Papers to grade- lessons to prepare.
You take a stack and mark spelling and punctuation.

Friday:
Running late- forgot my lunch.
You bring it by.

Saturday:
You stay in bed- I’ll make toast and coffee.
I want to.
A thank you to my wife- for everything she does.
Sometimes,
all that one needs is a friendly face
that they haven't seen in a while
to remind them of
how much there is
to value in life.

If I should fall a thousand steps into your arms,
will they not wait? For I
let not Cassiopeia move beyond her throne
to encroach my bed.
                                       Let gravity
seek its master upon my feet
and warm itself in my slippers,

carry me through curtains
and clouds of deceit to reach a haloed moon
in an airless night. If I

should wait a thousand years for a single step into your arms,
will they not open? For I
let wide the gates and fiery the oil

to relinquish the kingdom and forge
against the current into the quiet distance.

I hear her
speak, her
words, fall
through me,
to land
soundly,
on the singing
land that
is my heart,
as she says
the words,
the blessed
words,
"I love you"

A time to sit, reflect, be still,

Let the world slide by,

Contentment it is worth a lot,

And I intend to try
Pax Dec 2015
The fringes of fate frozen my fingers upon reaching you

………But destiny’s hands are within my grasp…

Then I used my mind’s free will to take hold of it and reach you

Together I’ve achieved fulfilling joy with you at my side

.....…towards a journey to Contentment’s path…

This was one of those poems that I am happy to say, I didn't write a sad poem today. That's what I say last time, been very busy as of lately...

Chipper as a wood chopper
doused with kerosene lamp oil
at the start of the chilly winter
all bundled up in a fantasy getaway
deep in the wooded forrest lies my pride all cozy-like.
