High up above the ground
Leaves surrounding us
The wind rustling beneath our feet
Sitting on branches with little small talk
If only this moment lasted forever

A little boy only five
Thinking he can climb up all the way
With a little puppy staring at us from the ground
Waiting and waiting for us to come down
The little child let his imaginary be wild
He used to be so excited to climb up this old tree
That he used to tell me all of his stories in

This little boy has now grown older
It's crazy how much a few years can change you
The puppy that waited at our feet is now old and tired
The boys stories are told less and less
Now this old tree only hears the silence of growing old

The mountains pierce the sky
This world built for you and I
We'll conquer them all together
Hand in hand, we climb forever

From the time of ash and flame
I have found a life again
Upon the coals and to the top
None shall ever make me drop
Holding fast and standing free
I have found that which is me
A climber
Yes
I'll send it
You'll see

The thin air
of the alpine meadows
shortens my breath;
it deepens my mind.

I dreamt I was wide awake.

Lost on the ***** slabs

of Tenaya Peak,

we sang at bears in the moonlight.

The prusik came in handy in the end,

and the two sixty-metres ropes.

Then,

the lake saved us;

our lips too dry to smile.

Poetry in motion, like the wide wavering oceans. Why climb? Its far more than just passing time. Nothing tangible to show for it. Memories, a sense of meaning, pride. I climb & I'll never quit....its puts some pep in my stride

tossed in waves
looking to the promontory

It says:
read swells
keep your sight
find harmony in the stir
understand how and when to climb
for this is an abrupt hardness
to fall broken

nearer hope
is a mercy
a trough
to reveal clear footing
and hands still strong
shake in lifting

regain sight upon upon the high ledge
the froth below and turmoil ebb
my heart
still beating

Missed a few steps while climbing up,
only a few,
however still felt in the same way like it use to feel prior.
Still felt a stumble is better than a fall

Paused for a while
Thought for sometime
Then continued towards destination with only one change in mind
One step at a time till the destination is reached upon.

Bottom line remains the same,
never repeat the same old mistake
Never do anything in haste or in rush of blood
Slow and steady wins the race.

Few things have changed while in present
Few still seem to be the same
Present is what will decide how to set priority according to available time.

Never think of an uncertain future while in present in terms of short term gains
Often in life it's learnt from one's own experience that success has got no short cuts and hence only one step at a time.

No, I'm not just shy,
I'm anxious.

No, I'm not just rude,
I'm uncontrolled.

No, I'm not just cryptic,
I'm confused.

No, I'm not just distant,
I'm numb.

And no, I don't just hate you,
I'm scared.
sometimes I wish people could see into my mind, not for pity, but so they know I'm not trying to be hurtful or annoying or manipulative or vengeful. I don't understand myself anymore and I'm trying. God, I'm trying.
