sweet ridicule Feb 2015
this planet holds together
gravitating humans
Through scalding chemicals
Chemicals staining our breath
(some ancient soliloquies never forgotten)
Atoms dying
And then living
Inside of our mortally immortal bodies
So be my rubidium
(I am oxygen)
And crave me and my words
We will explode and simultaneously
De-combust
Shattering the world around us
Releasing the angst of a lonesome soul and
tantalizing revelations of hope
the innate genius hidden in us
in
Rubidium and Oxygen
be my rubidium

You can literally manufacture it in a chemistry lab;
There are formulae and measurements of hormones that add up
To this supposedly tangible entity

A nicely brewed test tube
Of elaborately named chemicals

The very thing that makes you tremble in your skin,
That has caused wars and set ships assail
Confined to a liquid in a glass container

Dopamine,  oxytocin,  serratonin, endorphins, and the knowing that you've won

these ingredients of a love cocktail
stronger than any other peace known on earth,
our brain's evolutionary power to keep us procreatin'
Oh so sweet!

Shows up and ruins everything.
I apologize to any sweet things out there named amy g dala.
Sweet things = all women in the universe, (especially those I have yet to court)

I am an experiment
A mere testament of beauty
A simple little lab rat
Your safety at the expense of my pain
Just for your self-esteem gain
You have taken my freedom
And I have been beaten
But nothing can compare to the burning of my skin
And my torment within
I've been shredded of self-worth
Shredded of fur
All for our beloved Monsieur
I've been ravished in chemicals
Suffered through medicals
And it’s all been for you
Painted in methylene blue
So by now I surely hope that you like what you see
Even after all they've done to me
I hope my pain and suffering will suffice
And even after all this sacrifice
I hope you feel beautiful
While I feel pharmaceutical

moment to moment
we are the sum total of
our chemicals

we think of ourselves
we think of others
as an average of our
time and spacial synergy
an anatomical amalgam
a biological brine

frankensteins with
personalities, commonalities and
unique agendas
sprinkled with neuroses that
range from microscopic to
catastrophic, whether
chemical reaction or
hyperbolic extraction

you can choose to
canonize or demonize
as long as you can
recognize
the flesh and the blood
versus the fantasized
Eleanor Rigby Sep 2014
I spoke to my soul about love
She said, do not question it
Do not ignore it.
I resorted to my heart,
Guess what happened.
It skipped a beat
And I was reborn.
I asked scientists and doctors
And people who knew drugs
They said, it's all chemicals
I shouldn't bother myself with
They said I'm too strong
To let it ruin me.
But when you and I
Got under your blankets
And I told you I loved you
You said nothing.

.
she used her halo
                as wings;
strung it up on
                Chemical
                                Loopholes
that make her feel close to
                         God
and on the subject of
                          being God,
We discover.
