Breeze shuffles leaves,
returns to caress the fruits missed,
soft tete-a-tete
Kewayne Wadley Feb 2017
There she sat.
Leaned forward in my arms.
It felt like she belonged there.
My arms.
Her head nestled in the center of my chest.
My arms stretched around her shoulders.
Wrapping tight around her.
Honestly between us both I don't know who felt more comfortable.
Me or her.
The urgency of need. Warmth.
Her arms un-tucked from the center of her chest.
Wrapping underneath my arms. Squeezing the small of my back.
I love the way she hugged me.
I felt a sense of security. Holding her as close as I could.
I watched as she turned her head and made herself more comfortable.
This was who we were.
Explaining everything that needed to be said.
Reciting everything within arms reach

Whisper in my ear
                     -sweet velvety verbatim.
Caress my thoughts
                    -rose-petal fingertips.
Comfort me.

Take my hand
And feel the pulse
Thumping in rhythm
My heart to yours
One, Two, Three
Like a silent waltz
My joy proliferates
At your caress
A race with no winner
Through my veins
Deluging my senses
With a zenith existence
Perfumes of you
Saturate my every thought
Stealing my focus
Like ice and fire
Stinging and warm
Like a promise of tomorrow

Those first touches, caresses
So gentle, so light I thought you a ghost
And yet how could I ever miss you
With your cold beans and your microwaved toast
I can't remember when they started,
But I will never forget them turning into something more
Accidental marring and patterns traced
You never knock normally on my door.
Touched aren't ghostly when everyone leaves
A night of mad men is making me mad
Game of Thrones was just a pretence; you knew.
It was exciting and safe, your nerves made me glad
Because our tentative exploration developed so fast
Practice makes perfect,
Mutual inexperience was cute
We learnt of our actions and we learnt of each other
A background film was certainly astute
You made your mark and I made mine
You teased, you were subtle, my arm shows your line
My canvas, your neck, headphones hide the divine
My bra covers all, on your eyes mine do dine

love is a strange emotion,
it blesses the soul with wings..
giving it the right to fly free in the vastness of mid-night sky
while it keeps the heart prisoner ...
it touchs the soul like
September breeze caresses
the dew touched flowers
while setting heart ablaze !!

I am sand
you are ocean
together, we are
the little grains of sand
caressing
the edge of the ocean
a sign from you
and I stop
a word from you
and I smile
a gaze from you
and I tremble
a caress from you
and I melt
Liquid ahead of you
you're all colors in one
you're  my compass
you're my center of gravity
you're my nirvana
when you're there
everything
is intense
every color is vivid
every sound is shrill
the sky is infinite
the green is more green
everything is easier
everything finds its own place
nothing  is impossible
you're the best of me
without you
everything is flat
the music in me
turns off
disorder and impatience
mark
the faint gust of life
gliding beside me
without being able to brush me
a slow
ticking bottom
accompanies the wait to
the prelude
the symphony of music
and perceptions
of your return
and everything
can start again
and I can fly

I've never been kissed so gently
so purposefully
as if the world depended on your lips
and my skin.

I'm not sure what you see
maybe a flower with thin petals you don't want to rip,
maybe a face of porcelain you don't want to scratch,
maybe a healing heart you don't want to bruise.

I've never been kissed so softly,so cautiously, like you are somehow made of shattered glass
and are careful not to cut my skin
just because you are broken.

As if you don't see the scars and burns
that already pepper my heart,
as if I'm the fragile one,
     thin and feeble,
small and unreachable as if there is a chance I could melt into the ground
if you hold too tight,

and maybe there is a chance I will.

It seems like you map out the placement,
like stars making a curious pattern in the sky,
beyond either of our reaches.

I've never been kissed so delicately,so deliberately
like the winds at midnight across the ocean,
powerful and moving,
soft and caressing.

As if I'm a gem you have been searching for,
blood red,
milky,
uncut
and you don't want to snag your lips on my edges,
or maybe you don't want to scratch the surface.

I'm not sure I will ever know.
