Is it that difficult, that much of a task
to think of me and text back?
Is your lifestyle so complex, that you cannot even spare a sec
Because it seems to be me giving. giving
And then I give some more
But you treat my existence as a chore

Do you wait for me to text?
Do you lay up in your bed, rereading the messages sent?
How much space do I consume in your head?

For me, it is easy to see the juxtaposition
I never thought you would put me in this position
To have to beg and plea for your attention on me

So I just move on like I usually do because everything good has to fall apart
So I embrace the impermanence of it all
the queen is always
very busy
breeding
and seldom takes a
rest from her
seeding

if she didn't keep
producing more
bees
there would be few
to pollinate the
trees

her tireless efforts are
rarely if ever given a
thought
yet without her fecundity
no honey could be
bought

we human beings should
offer our praise to the
queen
as she's never ceases her work
on the propagation

In between the screens
the typing keys,
the (gradient) lines,
the buzzing phones,
there is
        peace
        space
        silence.
Captured the surprise quiet moments in a noise-filled work day.

India is about to war
on Pakistan.
I'm busy getting my
degree.
Climate is burning
the ice.
New parasites are evolving
in our lungs.
Immigration is devastating
employment.
But people are busy
paying their bills.
Spaceships are surrounding us.
Government is announcing
a new refugee scheme.
ISRO is launching
forty satellites.
But kids are busy
practising their parents' signature.
Young is busy
risking life to buy marijuana.
Youth is busy
begging for jobs.
Adults are busy
spying kids' notebooks.
The world has enough problems
already
to make something new.
It is like adding
a new task in the to-do list
in the rush hours.
Bees becoming extinct.
Well-
let me get my degree first.

Why do people describe tranquility
As stillness?
There is no stillness
It's just a concept
Your mind concocted

Look around:
The nature is busy
Do you see ants stop?
Do you see birds stand still?
Do you think air stops moving?

If you wait for stillness
You'll be waiting a long time
Find peace in the busyness
It exists trust me
You just need to look for it

For all the time I have lost being busy
the universe looked down
pause the world
and said,
"Go, make up for what's lost
"busy" was never considerate."

Hello there busy Bee
Buzz around and pollinate this tree
Oh! And make some sweet honey for Me!

My mind has gone blank.
Yet I have so much to do.
A cacophony of voices critiquing
But those helping are so few.

How could the instructions be any clearer,
Than how they were written down?
How do I get people to realise that
If they don’t stop piling on this ****, I will drown.

Nobody seems to want to talk to each other
Yet they expect me to know it all
With several teachers whose tones want to crucify me
But who’s words say I shouldn’t take the fall.

And it’s not my responsibility
To do this work for you
And really it would get finished a lot faster
If you did some of this too.

And I understand that you have lots of ideas
So, you want to change things constantly.
But do YOU understand that everything you change
Is a few more hours work for me?

I've no time to finish this poem
Because I have to go complete another task.
So, I’ll leave a copy right here for you
And hope it helps you see through my obvious mask.
Written during a time of great stress and pressure. Sometimes when things are tough you just want people to Shut Up.

The aurora awakens me,
from the abyss of sleep.
The water runs to stir the
last cell asleep in me.
The chill wind caresses me,
as it consoles my vexation
from classes and assignments.

The sink and dishes know,
my mind as I scour away.
The walls accept me,
one among them as they
follow me around the house.
The sketchbook and words fill up,
as the days go by.

The world becomes restricted to
a small window of technology,
yet life goes on.
The day ends with a shower,
from nature, drifting me,
to the abyss of sleep with
the lullaby of petrichor.
as days go by I notice how I find my home a lovely place to stay in.

can we talk?
no, you're busy

you need a favor?
course, i'll be there in a jiffy

pushing and pulling me
like you're waves dragging me everywhere

i love you
but i can't keep up with you doing me like this

can we talk?
can we?
