The words you spoke
Awakened the slowly withering
Your thoughts were gold
Replacing the cracks
The crevices
The fissures
That was becoming
Of the once smooth surface of my sanity
When your fire warmed but didn’t harm
I longed and searched for ways to stoke it
Already feeling chilled
At the slightest distance from your flame
I didn’t mind suffocating
But you were air
And I realized I love breathing.
This is the first poem I’ve shared. Thank you so much for reading. ^_^

no matter how hard
these winds blow and shake me
i stay  r o o t e d  with the Earth

storms exist to awake me
one of the first few
rhymes i ever wrote
*and still my favorite*

have you ever tasted a star fire kiss?
i could make it burn
make your inner turmoil turn
i could make you feel rich or i could make you cringe
i can make you taste passion
but i know my place
i feather in with grace and ignore the chase
contemplate the sound of silence
can you hear your soul and your irresistible desires?
make sure you don’t forget to dismantle the memories
the horizon is greener than the grass you pretend to water
the city sleeps with fog tonight
i lay in bed and coax the sky
i tell myself that it’ll be on time
melodramatic sin on the bottom of your nose
do better next time i tell my reflection

When expectation lowers to nil,
Awe emerges. So does thrill.

"tread slowly. tread slowly.
'tis unholy to see freedom.

look around you. look around you.
see the world and all its bleeding.

say your prayers. say your prayers.
say your prayers with your eyes open.

don't lose focus. don't lose focus.
we are only what we notice."

She was beautiful,
The moon scowled at her beauty,
The Sun shied away from her,
The stars flickered with jealousy.
Nothing mattered to her,
She was complicated,
Her mind was a tangled mess of thoughts.
All I wanted was to sit beside her,
Gently untie the knots  in her neurones,
Connect to the correct ends of the
dendrites,
Let her talk,
Spill out her secrets and frustrations
See her awaken,
Hold her tight and never let her go.

I never doubt when I close
my eyes that I'll awaken
               to those eyes shut
waiting for the words
                          "I love you"

That cheeky smile yawning,
        stretching into a new morning.
And your first words are
                                    "Coffee"
Her first love, then me.

I never wish the days away,
but I look forward to opening
my eyes after every sunset.
   for when the morning
awakens I see you before my sight
