I always give the best advice...  Away
.
Never to me.

Never to keep.

It all goes away
feebie Dec 2018
Let me start….by smacking you upside the head
For all the silly things done and said
Let me continue with words of encouragement
You have not yet lost, what you have not yet met

You flew the coop, excited and young
A new-found freedom flowed through you veins
But, oh what a journey its been, times gone ****
And where, oh where my dear girl were your brains?

Never you mind, lessons have been learnt
Times experienced, both dark and light
Lessons leaving you better off, those that have burnt
Times that have been easy, times where you had to fight

Through the waters of life, you constantly waded
Sometimes sinking in the deeper depths of murk
Yet, though some of the memories have faded
Some do indeed leave you with that fond little smirk

So, to this contest as you post and procrastinate
Uttering words, some wise, some of rebuke
To show others something of what you would say
To a younger you, to avoid rumors of ill repute

So ode to I, tribute to you
Never grovel in the muddy puddles of times gone by
Go forward in all you say and all you do,
Practice kindness, passion and empathy on the fly

A few words to close, from me to you
Remember to always love deeply, truly, infinitely
Proceed with empathy and compassion in all you do
Overall allow your soul to fly free

with much love
Your slightly tethered, now wiser counterpart

My advice is to you girl
Don’t look in the mirror
You need to be health and happy
***** everyone else

My advice is to you girl
***** the passport
Pursue your DNA
Pursue you chosen spirituality

My advice is to you girl
Is to not to fit in
Don’t be afraid
To step on some
Toes and egos.
Be yourself

My advice is to you girl
Is not to be afraid
To swear
***** the brimstone people
Just say it.

At home mum had the last say,
All members of the family looked up to her everyday,
Times have changed,
She passed away, wise and aged.
Before she went,
Her last advice to me she sent,
Dear, you too have a large family,
And if you want peace and be happy,
Keep your eyes open,
Your ears open,
Listen,
But your mouth shut,
Let the problems sort themselves out.
Let you be their Godess Statue,
Wise and astute.
An elderly person at home is for advise.Young people nowadays hate interference.

Listen I get it
Adults have work
But so do we
We meaning teens
When we say its stressful
Sometimes the adults tell us
We are "lucky"
That we don't have an office job
Yeah, I get that
I get your job is hard.
But so is ours
You were there.
But the teaching system has
Gotten harder
And harder.
Sometimes we go home and work on homework
Longer than we were even at the school
Yes, its stressful.
If you are an adult
And have children
Or you are an aunt
Or an uncle
When that child says they are stressed
Don't say that you are too
Reassure them that the stress will go away
And once they are done they will
Feel a relief.
From finishing that work.
Instead of complaining aswell
Give sympathy to them
You most likely went through the same
So give them the  advice
They need.....
It's hard for me to ask for advice
Because you don't live in my head
You can only advise from what you hear
To the extent of what I said
So how can I expect an answer
When you don't fully understand
The question that I'm asking you
Is more difficult to comprehend
I don't blame if you don't know
Because you really don't
Though I don't know either
To ask a second time, I won't

Sometimes I trust my instinct,
but it tells me to do things in ways
that no one dares
It can implore me there,
to take paths no one walks

I fear the fresh footsteps I make
on the new brick road
I'm a social animal, a human;
doing what others do seems the right
thing to do

Once you're a bit different, society condemns
They raise an eyebrow, they don't give
their consent;
But I've seen great people do great things
Because they had faith in their instincts.

They have the drive to keep going,
To try and even fail.
I'd very much like to do the same,
At least I have real
control over my own doings.

If I succeed, I have only my instincts to celebrate.
If I fail, I have only my flaws to blame.
Everything under my possession,
Ne te quaesiveris extra, as they say
It's your life to do, your life to bear.

my dear,
there are plenty of things
in life
that you must learn

learn
to let go
not only of
those people you've loved before
or the many stuff you used to own

you must learn
to let go of
the things that are
stopping you or holding you back
from being
who you truly are
Be not who "they" want you to be.
