If you don't throw the stone
The pool won't ripple
And if you want a tidal wave look for a bigger stone
And throw it with all your might

The Child

Angeline
I saw the child
She's so carefree
She liked to act
What she wanted to be

I met that child
One starry night
When bright moon was
Just out of sight

I talked to her
She only smiled
Carefree but sweet
She's not that wild

She looked at me
I understood
I knew her thoughts
Even her mood

I love the child
I only see
The finest child
That child in me
All of us has a child inside ourselves.
