Voyager

Sjr1000
The Voyager has left the solar system
It has taken our consciousness
with it too
A Commodore 64 running the show
How ironic
We're still collecting those tiny bits of data
today.

What does Voyager know?
What has it experienced?
What does forty years in space give you?
Is it beginning to wonder
or
Is it way past that?

While we're going
far far further
than any human object has ever been
Earth no longer visible

(While we slaughter another human life)

Voyager is in deep being
Without borders and no hope of home
traveling forever
an extension of the human mind
heart and soul.

Canon in D

Lorelei
A vibration in the summer hot air
The bow gently touching the cello strings
The floating of perfect sounds in pair

Holding my breath -
                       I am waiting...

Life itself reflects in cello sounds
And I can finally feel it!
The gentle embrace of my heart!

In a split second
I can grasp it all:
       The happiness to come,
       The nostalgia
floating in the ever-changing rhythm
              - Of life and love -
All carried away by the summer wind...

My heart skips a beat
In the afterglow of that
                     serendipity moment:
The perfect sound
vibrating from the right string of my *heart
Canon in D by Pachelbel is one of the most beautiful music for me, cello version, piano, violin, it doesn't matter. Listening to it live in an Italian piazza was the special moment that inspired these lines

Escape

Poppi Mae
let's escape the world for a while,
leave all our worries behind,
cause you're the only thing that makes me smile.
we can plan our adventures if we must,
or wander different paths until dusk,
just take my hand and we'll run away,
to a place where we will spend the rest of our days.
She told him she wanted the moon... So he helped her build a ladder tall enough so she could reach it on her own...
It was her goal, not his to take.
He was her support, not her knight in shinning armor...
She wanted to fight her own battles... he already knew she'd win them all.
I awoke that morning in an empty bed
No sign you'd been here - might as well have been dead
I reached for my cell and dialed your number
Yet all that was there was white noise to cease slumber
I pressed my face into the pillow where your head once rested
And yet your scent had already faded
As I sat up and looked around I saw nothing
Nothing but cobwebs and faded photographs of my young self playing.
Where have you gone to now?
Wait... nevermind, you never existed anyhow.
All about a fictional partner.

They called her a Monster
And she thought that title suited her well.
Sometimes it's easier to be as terrible as they make you out to be.
