The next time you see a girl
who is wearing a T-shirt
with writing across the chest
and she gives you a ***** look
for trying to read it,
just wink,
and tell her you're illiterate
happened to a friend of mine
Career, in his mind, is just a 20th century invention. My admiration seared when he admitted that he doesn't want one. So unlike a typical human being, that man. Four months later, they found his lifeless body in the Alaskan wilderness.

I could have married him, you know? I could have run away with him beyond the edge of the world - two hunted individuals leaving the stereotypical expectations of this stereotypical society. We could have had children, you know, whose names would be very strange, like the sound of the ocean in its sheer stillness or the explosion of its raging waves.

You know what made him beautiful, among all the others? His act of defiance. Most men that ever existed are coward *******.

i'm making up powerful lies
my woman has x-ray eyes
staring past my pen
at my subtle suggestion

fictitious facts start to climb
new lows for the same old rhyme
no limit no
hesitating inflection

i know i can not convince
my self to deny existence
but some day all these words i mince
will from my soul a truth evince

in time
these kinds
of crimes
change lives

there's a quiet theft now between you and me
as i spend your time through our privity

i've been measuring my self in this light
squint at how bright
i'm looking up and down for the sky
pride holds me down
below the storm
blood on my crown
can i shift form?
just be reborn?

yes i've been making up powerful lies
and i'm still hiding from her x-ray eyes
but my shoes have worn thin
chasing door to door grin
i know my mind is a sin
but watch me mask my chagrin

in time
these kinds
of crimes
change lives

there's a quiet theft now between you and me
as you steel my mind through our privity
Hunny in a hole, don't look down
Excitedly,pretending your understanding.
Forgotten in a daydream like I can't tell
Further into the ***, there might be cheese at the bottom
Accosted by dreams and fantasies
Lead them home with a whistle and a song
Uh oh, you ate it and threw it in the pit.
Must. Get. Out. Of. This. Jar.

Autumn leaves colored
by the sound of lonely thoughts
travelling like Leotigers
in deep waterfalls

searching true forgiveness
for all we ever were
revealing a victorious haze
through witch we see who cares

Winters lack of color
gently overturns
the silent dance of flower buds
t'wards hope and not concerns

then Spring and Summer once again
will let us all behold
our ship sets sail for joyful smiles
not silver, bronze nor gold

with smiling lips we find our hearts
were made to be forgiving
and I can shout and really mean it:
I     LOVE     LIVING!

The inspiration was empty air
And the window was full of false impressions
Cold sun and spring trees left bare

Even the seasons gave up on changing
It was apathy disguised as depression
The reasons not to get out of bed ranging

From paranoia to frustration
Of the lack of love and sincerity
A growing grave of your own creation

You could be happy if you really tried
And settled for idea of rarity
Convince yourself it’s wired

Into human nature but simply ignored
Wildly the time flies
Moments passing in a flash
People and places never staying
Even when you wish whey would.

Quickly hope ensues
That maybe they can stay
Stay near, young, and innocent
Never changing from who they were

Then despair crashes
And releases that hope
Because people change and grow
And maybe leave you behind to move

Softly longing creeps
Into your lonely heart
Grips you mind and stays
Vowing never to let you forget

The past and how things were then
When all was perfect and true
Two hearts combined to one
Shattering the peace
The mold you breathe in
Grabs your roots and invades your curtains
But you are still here
And though your mind wanders miles
Unraveling
Your body it trembles with unseen
Genius smiles
The gaps in your teeth scream
For truth
In their finger curls
You've got it
And it glows
Humming patiently
In those hollow recesses of your
Self-contempt
Begging those shallow breaths
To deepen and unfurl
Where hopeful racing heartbeats
**** the dark and empty coves
Licked by moonrises
And soothed by the tides
