i could have been a mom this week
but i did that thing of which you
do not speak
It was not dying to the life, sleep,

so one can be reborn in the morn’.

As we inhale, aspire, we exhale, inspire,

the breath of life is spiritual.

So too, to awake is as a promise

we made before we were born,

to be life.  It is, this new day

is given to be anew.

Awakened newly to the world,

which has also evolved in it’s newness.

It's for us to find and be what it is

to be this new day.
Happy Holidays All, blessings be ....  Thanx for all you do.  Have a good day  :)   reality

you get a call
it’s too early
but too late all at once

you get a call
it is after midnight
he has the bottle in hand

you get a call
it is early morning
the pills are down his throat

you get a call
it’s one am
he tells you not to worry

you get a call
you don’t know how to feel
he says he’s done the bottle
(you don’t know if he means the pills or the water)

you get a call
you don’t know what to do

you get a call
it ends too soon
based off the time when my friend called me during a suicide attempt

autumn
even after wasted time
i continue
to waste
the day
away.

the blood drips
from my trembling fingers
painting red stains
upon the pages
of a chapter

a chapter
in my book
in our story
in which it has
already been written
already been read
already been
forgotten.

yet i still sit idly
with my head
against this wall
as the pit of fear
in my stomach
grows and deepens
and as the sun sets
beneath my windowsill

waiting for you.

dear quinn,

turn your music
down a little.
look up from the
ground a little.
throw up your arms and
smile a little.

you're alive.

love,
quinn
