I should be going to sleep
But the shadows at the corner of my eye
Keep whispering secrets

I’m pacing down the hallways
Of my sanity
Waiting for a door to open

The peonies dance a slow waltz
In a breeze that does not exist
And the ivy crawl up walls
Over lamps, over windows

Come sit with me
Next to the pond
You cannot leave
So take your time

Even if the closest I can get to you right now
Is just the subtle scent of you on my sheets
I’ll fall asleep with this piece of you wrapped around me
It calms me faster than counting sheep

Due to a dentist that I’d like to ****
And years that have put me over the hill
I’m left with a face in a permanent scowl
That says if you cross me prepare for a growl.

It’s all just a part of my very sad story
My expression’s not meant to be minatory
But that is the way the bones and flesh meet
So give me a smile when we pass on the street.

I try to remember to put on a smile.
I have several good ones that I keep on file
So trust me - I’m happy, although I look mad
If you get to know me, I’m really not bad.

Of heavy burden

The toes, for certain

The surf, a cleansing
A light mist descending

Dark days of struggle
They ripple away

Laughter in the air
As children again play

My dreams keep searching you in the constellation of stars

Heart gets disheartening, scratching the days spent together
Standing in front of the rising waves, just memories I gather
Tranquility of sea sand keeps invigorating my otherwise last spirit
I feel like getting drowned to the ephemeral limits
With the trembling limbs my mind travels to the sky

I want to journey through the valley of your lips.

Then travel the hills to kiss your neck
Guide my tongue through the mountains of your chest
Journey across the great plains of the stomach
Until I reach your twin legs of smooth cocoa butter.

Where a garden temple lies
A natural waterfall
Flows sweet juice inside

See, I use my tongue to drink from your fountain

The twin legs start to cave-in
Guide my direction of where to go
