Fervour tapered lingering
On that ******* precipice
Of alleged possibility

Devoured by the jaws of silence
The soul no longer raged
A nothingness that knew no words
Agony’s cold grip
Winter in December

I knew not what to with these hands
Their weightlessness
Weeping willows drowned out sound
Perfected in my dead
Loosening the grapple on the promise
Of a hazy tomorrow.
Staggered gait
As though feet
Are dragging boulders
My sorrow

Permanent abode
In the depths
Transient thrills
Balanced
On razors edge
My sorrow

Days dictated by yearning
To saturate the dreary
With design
My reason.
Fragments of moments
That can never fuse into
Wholesome experience
Are what remains
When you depart
With the light on your back
Leaving
Shards of luminescence
Splattered
In your wake

I remain
Bound
In the wastelands
Of attachment
Perpetually
Chasing your ghost
Until I become one.
 Nov 2014 Silence Screamz
Juneau
On the edge of the Milky Way, way, way out in space
There's this planet called Earth; we've all heard of this place
A place where all the inhabitants are a complete disgrace
They allow millions to starve, while a few stuff their face
And no matter the size of their knowledge base
They can never understand one another and begin to efface
With their swords, knives, guns, bullets and bombs all apace
They will soon go at one another in a nuclear arms embrace
They have the ability to end themselves in one last Coup de Grace
....and with disparaging tones, we call them, the human race
".... and we call ourselves the human race." - John F. Kennedy

~

hundreds of thousands of words,
we told through our whole life

tens of thousands of sentences,
you wrote in your novel

thousands of dreams,
we dreamed through our passing dark nights

millions of images,
we left in our moving past times

but my friend
at the end,
I carry

only a few images of withered petals
except all those nightmares
yet I can feel a few dreams of yours, repeatedly

even I can recall a few words of yours
that grew the motion of life
maybe you can feel a few words of mine

As  the words that can make a wonderful  lyric
"I love you, that holds an eternal truth"
yet that shining as a crystal of diamond

words those make a lyric of love
Finally
You relax...
Eyes dim,
Mind blank,
All emotion forgotten...put aside...
Shoved deep in the recesses of your brain, for later use only;
A soft smile plays across your lips in spite of everything.

Finally
You let your guard down,
Can take a deep breath for the first time since last time,
It's been too long,
You know you won't let it happen again,
No, the consequences are minuscule compared to the relief you receive.
