There were times
she felt
like his bad habit

    passionately
longed for,

quickly savored,

and then
carelessly crushed

beneath
the weight
of his world

        keeping it together

Bouquets of colors abound as the little pills that I swallowed down take hold of my keyboard. The words flow like an ebbing tide, they drift far and wide. My imagination flows like a river as I see the pretty colors of the ever expanding rainbow. My emotions are cleared away as I write about a rainy day or speak of a Unicorn that I just met. Who knew it could be this exciting when I let the pills do the writing instead of the dreary person who used to be me.

Nobody told me that-  falling in love is easy, but getting out of it is hard.

Nobody told me that-  first love is going to be sweet,  but also particularly heartbreaking.

Love,  I didn't know,  that it would hurts so much.

I always wanted to think that, we are still together,  that I didn't leave you for good,  that you are holding my hand instead of hers.

I am left in the dark now, alone,  with scars and broken heart,  with unhealed wounds and philophobia,  and there is nothing to blame but my own doing.

Now I always wake up in the middle of the night,  feeling extremely sad,  thinking about our memories together, and cry myself to sleep.

the moment a poet
falls in love with you

is the moment
you live

You threw my heart onto the floor.
It shattered into a thousand pieces or more.
With what was left of the tiny fragments I was able to gather,
I gave it to the people I cared for,
the people who truly matter.
I let them use it to mend their hearts back to being whole,
to fill the missing pieces inside them,
the chance to find their lost soul.
Because unlike you, I choose to be unselfish;
this isn't a pity party for me to weep and cry.
I'd rather lose my whole heart to see the world relish
than to watch it stop beating and eventually die.
one man's trash is another man's treasure.
If I could turn back time
I would hit Backspace all day,
Id put on Caps Lock
and SHOUT what I say.

I'd use the whole Alphabet
To tell you hello,
Press seven Numbers
Til you picked up the phone.

I'd Tab through the comments
I didn't want to hear,
And use the Arrow Keys
To drag your body near.

I would Delete the harsh words
I didn't mean to speak,
And Insert the "I love yous"
I before couldn't leak.

I would use Ctrl to
Keep reigns over my heart,
And I would Escape lies
That tore us apart.

I'd Print out your photo
And kiss it goodnight,
Use the Calculator
To check that we were right.

I'd Paint you a picture
of us, you and me,
Then I'd hit Enter
Just so you would see.

Those are the things
I would do in my strife,
If only Backspace
worked in real life.
This is the first poem (that I have a copy of) i wrote that I actually thought was good. I was in seventh grade, twelve years old, and I wrote it for a newspaper competition. I knew it was really great but I didn't think I would beat all other applicants in the state in my age group. So you can imagine my surprise I'm sure when I DID win! That is the first time I was proud of my writing. So this one has a lot of special sentimental value. Thanks for reading.
I see the pain in the eyes
I see the love in disguise
I see pain within the pride
I see that they're not satisfied
I see the truth which seem like lies
I see the guilt beneath the shame
I see the scars that remain
I see the frustration behind the fame
I see the shame underneath your name
I can see the fear reflecting off of every tear
I can see the mirror on the wall
I see myself
