An interesting thing
About our thinking
We rarely just act
Instead we ask, what if?

What if I say something wrong
What will happen
To the road I walk upon?
Will my journey start cracking?

What if I take the day off?
Will I lose my job?
Will I be palmed off?
I don't want to be stuck as a slob

Now I'd like to say
Don't stress on these "what ifs"
Send them on their way
The only if you should think upon
Is whether you'll wake for another day

Don't stress about the "what ifs"
You may never get another chance
If your worried about what might happen
Instead of taking action

Live like there is no tomorrow
For there is no time you can borrow
Take it while you have a chance
Live, love life and advance

Some days I wonder
What should I do
My brain travels yonder
For an idea or two

When my head is out of ideas
What should I do
I look upon autumn trees
Foraging flora for a delicious hue

And then the days where I draw a blank
What should I do
Maybe I should steal a tank
Blow up a city, kablew

What if my heart decides to move
What should I do
Should I fall in love
And chase after you

These days I just wonder
That's what I do
Laying here I ponder
Waiting for something new

Time
An irrelevant concept of measurement
Perceived
On personal scales

Where does my heart lie
When I reach for the sky
Where will i find a love
When I search the stars above

Who will be that one
Who embraces me warm as the sun
Who will hold my heart
Who turns my life into art

How will I know
When her soul does glow
How will I see
When it shall be her and me

All I know is she's out there somewhere
Waiting for someone to care
I'll be here waiting, searching for a sign
To show me when I can call you mine

Now the question we all like to ask
is who am I and what to be?
The answer to this question
isn't one to find.
For all I know is I am me.
and life will take me where I'm meant to be
Life is like a train,
from which you will have a ton to gain.
The travel that which we all take
may just make your soul quake
The long and windy path we are taken
will have us all awaken
For we may not understand
the end that is to come will be oh so grand.
The answer to the question is as simple as one..two..three
who am I? I am me

Can you answer this question
With a smile on your face?
Can you answer this question
With confidence in place?

In your mirrors of thought
Do you see your belief?
In the pool of your essence
Could you find relief?

Do you pilot your life
Or are commandeered by emotion?
Could you tell me who you are
Through all of the commotion?
Why

Why
Why am I told I'll be the perfect guy
For that special girl
Yet I find myself
Here all alone

Why does my heart
Fall faster than the speed of light
Yet I'm too blind
To notice when the time is right

Why does the me inside
Enjoy such rollercoaster rides
Yet me on the outside
Just wants to break down and cry

Why is it I'm speechless
When I see your eyes
Yet my mind
Just speeds on by

Why am I so weak
My heart crumbles, it just breaks away
Yet I stand rock solid
Smiling on through everyday

Why Poetry?
Is a question many ask
Poetry is my Entry
To a vibrant world I can bask

Why Poetry?
I can release my emotion
I am able to grow an everblooming tree
Without all others commotion

Why Poetry?
Poetry is where my heart
And soul are set free
An incandescent art

Poetry is a place for release
Poetry is a place for love
Poetry is a place for soul
Poetry is a place for emotion

Poetry is my *

Words
A marvelous creation
A form of communication
To illustrate our imagination

Travelling like the song of birds
But be careful with words
They can be as sharp as swords

With words we all empower
Even if words become sour
Learn not to cower
For they will help you flower

Everyone on HP

Because we all have our stories
For the world to be told
Even when times are tough
We do not fold

We have our own kinks and quirks
Which make us our own
For we are all different
All unique, and all bands together this is home

This is why we are all awesome
Some stand out as figure heads
But don't let that put you down
For all your works are awesome and need to be read
