A soaked sunken pillow
A floating empty head
And the usual sleepless night
Another unproductive day behind.
An overreacting heart
An uncontrollable mind
And a pair of guilty eyes.
All i own at this moment.

All those times i didn't raise my hand
And the times the words never came out.
All those times i was tested in life
And how the mind went blank every time.
All the nerves around my eyes
And all the tears it let go.
All parts of me burning
All for that unreachable peace.

A lot of regret filled scenarios
Along with a head full of fictional people
And a whole lot of futile thoughts.
All taking me a step away from
A silent and content mind frame.
Although, in spite of all this
All i yearn for is
A dream i wont regret in the morning.

Falling Awake
As you came into my view, I could see…
There was something missing internally.
A void was preventing me to be free,
And was plaguing me, since eternity.

But with your presence, I suddenly knew,
All along, my insides have felt askew.
It’s keeping me down; it’s painting me blue.
But now the color is displaced by you…

Displaced by you–my gaps vanish in whole,
Displaced by you–integrated my soul,
Deep–into every last wrinkle and fold,
We’re integrated–together we’re rolled.

And as you’ve become ingrained in my veins,
There’s no pause to the pattern or plane,
We sit flush, joining as if we’re the same,
This feels familiar--there might be a name.

But how to define something of the sorts,
Existing naturally, without a source,
But now apparent, an obvious force
As it all made sense–I uttered...

“of course.”

You were small once.
With wide eyes.

You saw the world.
In an array of colours.

In another life.
You'd be a great inventor.

Instead you grew.
Too fast.
Too soon.

You were born.
To make mistakes.

If only you knew.
If only you flew.

To the world.
You became a flaw.

Your  life was jinxed.
From the beginning.

You weren't born a fighter.
Yet became one in chaos.

You lost everything.
You lost everyone.

Will they ever understand?
All you ever was trying to do?
Was help?

They'll never understand.
The reason you became,
Something else.
This poem was inspired by the character Powder/Jinx from the Netflix series Arcane. If you'd like me to write more like this let me know.

We stare at empty light
Look at fake pictures
Pretend that everything
Is just okay

We watch pointless videos
Mindless entertainment
To fill the endless void
The people have created

We don't know what to do with ourselves
To keep us occupied
We don't know what we like
We don't know how else to hide

The world is ending
People are dying
We are all stuck
In a fake world

Just zombies
Trying to cure ourselves
Of the terrifying void
Outside

White, black, green, and red,
Waving a flag.
Let the world know
There is a right to be alive—
The people of Palestine have,
In their own olive land.
The latest death toll stands at 44,383 Palestinians, around 70% of them are kids and women.

no right turn
because you went left

now down the street
straight to the end

carrying your cross
and crosses can multiply

keeping on keeping on
staggering onward

you leave the moment behind
praying to be found, praying

Nothing lasts forever.

That one final
  bullet
That one final
dagger
To use
on another
Or to use
— on ourselves
