The Heart Cannot Be Silent

my heart calls your name
in the gloom of endless nights
and days of longing

A Poet Who Loves To Sing

He created the earth
the moon
the stars
and planets
Galaxies so big so complex
Even the most astute scientist would never fully comprehend it

The way we are so finely structured
A maslin of convoluted cells and atoms making up this human body
Others on occasions may sit at home think and sort of wonder
“could all of this earthly beauty happen by chance?”

For chance to be the cause of the art we see as life? Pause
No.
Please forgive me for my strife
For even the dirt underneath is everything but simple
The evidence of a perfect and powerful creator is all around
So this notion of chance does not sit right with me
And I have the right to disagree

It is because of Him our Heavenly father that all of this, all of us
Exist
He is the best artist I know
We are part of his magnificent creations as brought out in Revelations
So each day of my life is dedicated to no one else but him.
My father in the heavens
Jehovah God I am your witness.

A Sonnet To Life

Life is quite eccentric,
Its motives are arcane,
Storms may rage and sputter.
The sun may rise again.

Agony may perish.
Ecstasy may dwindle.
Days may last forever.
Time may lie or swindle.

Life’s but a dalliance;
A ripple on a wave.
All in life that’s certain
Is life cannot be saved.

Will you be encumbered on the day your life says goodnight?
Or will you melt in anguish as your soul takes final flight?

Goodbye

I have been here for almost two years.
It is like a home away from home.
My friends, colleagues, my peers,
Now I must say goodbye.
I have great memories of you all
stored up inside.
Now whether I see you in two months
or two years,
Remember that I will miss you.
You are all very original and you are all being missed right now
But on to the next adventure,
filled with danger, villainy and annoying siblings,
now it is time to embrace the magic of summer.
Time for fireworks and beaches,
Time for the woods and silence,
Time for the greatest ways to discover,
freedom, flight, boredom.
Maybe saying goodbye isn't that bad...

Wide Eyes
At first she loved me with wondrous pride,
Night after night, a happy constant by her side.
Hand-written stories narrated solely to me,
For only I appreciated her special 'vocabulary'.

In a couple of years, she gouged out my right eye.
As she pulled out my left arm, I masked a sigh.
A laborious poker face; by her, I was smitten.
And unlike the others, at least I wasn't forgotten.

At the age of three, she made loneliness my mistress.
Stowed me away; locked me alone with my distress.
The darkness of the room surpassed by my own.
Yet my unrequited adoration set firmly in stone.

Twenty five years later, she found her old teddy bear.
'He was always my favourite. Treat him with care.'
'But mommy, he has no eyes or hands...' she said, sans guile.
In the blink of an eye, she spied a sad, crippled smile.
I lay here, paralyzed,
under the vibrant evening sky.
Clouds float on by,
this, I've never seen.

Such beauty before me,
I've only heard of in stories.
It's mesmerizing to see,
almost unbelievable.

What's inconceivable to me,
is that we're the only ones here.
There must be more out there,
in each tear in the space time continuum.

Birds fly overhead,
singing songs to the dead.
Some words are better unsaid,
her bed will be empty tonight.

Night slowly approaches,
as darkness encroaches the light,
the sunsets on another day.
Paralyzed, I close my eyes,
as I lay outside my shattered car,
only a few feet away.

The Sun shines,
the fog blinds,
together they make,
a rainbow in the sky.

The Moon stares,
into a lake,
and wonders why,
he's a big mistake.

Why can't he be the Sun,
and light up the day.
Why can't he be the one,
to make the bad go away.

Why can't he be the light,
that brightens everyones day.
Instead he sits in the night,
wishing the Sun would go away.

The Moon glows,
the stars show,
a pattern of love,
that lights the Earth below.

To himself,
the Sun confides,
that he wishes,
he controlled the tides.

Why can't he be the Moon,
and turn darkness into light.
Why can't he be the one,
to light up the great night.

Why can't he have the grace,
of being with the stars.
Instead he sits up in space,
wishing he could take his place.

But what they both don't know is,
they need each other.
What they both don't know is,
that they are brothers.

We live in jealousy,
envying each other.
Please, just be thankful,
and happy for others.

The Sun needs the Moon,
to keep the night lit bright.
The Moon needs the Sun,
to produce his shining light.

The Sun needs the Moon,
and the Moon needs the Sun.
If they work together,
they can be one.

If they work together,
they can be one.
if they work together,
they will be one.

If we work together,
we could be one.
If we work together,
we will be one.

In one ear and out.
The average American.
We're oblivious.

God, I've never asked much,
I don't need and I don't beg.
Years go by, nothing changes,
war wages inside my head.

It's come to my attention,
that you're some savior.
You know my condition's dire,
you can see it in my behavior.

I want to believe but it's so ******* hard,
when every morning I wake up with a battered heart,
a brain that's been ravaged and war torn for years,
and a body that's been broken by fear.

God, I've never asked much,
I don't beg and I don't need,
but can you answer my prayers now,
either save me or **** me,
save me or **** me.
