Seagulls outdone
by 'little ones'
clapping and slapping
screeching and crapping

Acting much bigger
than they are
crying and vying
to rule the roost

Cacophony clowns
competing with sound
running around
all over town

Attention grabbers
perched on pinnacles
looking down
on the others around

This place where I am
is not the place
I want to be
Now I know
I need to go
from here to there.
Somewhere else,
other than here
is where I need to be

“How?”  says Maggie
when she’s in this state
and her body and mind
will not cooperate

“How?” I say
in my state
when my mind will not
cooperate

“How?”

Every moment of hesitation
Every moment of non-realization
Is a grain of liberation sand
Falling through my hand
Every grasp that I make
With every breath that I take
Is a grain of liberation sand
Falling through my hand
I can mount taking
and giving on the breath
so I can mount liberation
also on my breath

Stop and watch me carefully
what you get will not be what you see
My hedonistic needy-me view
has nothing at all to do with you
It’s all about me and not about you
Don’t trust what I say or what I do
I’m a man with a plan that I’ll never reveal
and it may take years for you to heal
If you fall for me and take the bait
You will find your self in a sorry state

The mirage will end
I wonder when?
If I knew
What would I do?

Who would I see
Who would I be
If the time I had left
Were blessed

By mindfulness
And kindfulness
And tidying up
My mess

Animals and insects
we like or we hate
we help or we ****
for reasons feeble
just like people

I’m watching a gardener at his game
To be honest it seems a little insane
like playing with water as it falls
through the hands and into the sand

His wife is working at his side
The team is trying to turn the tide
They will for maybe a moment or two
But anarchic nature will blast her way through
