Don't listen to the negative, or words that will pull you down.  People who are of a positive attitude, that's who you should hang around.
Don't listen to those in darkness, who knows nothing about the light.  One thing they do know is how to constantly fight.
Don't listen to those who are angry, and those who are loud and rude.  You need to pay close attention, you are about to be used.
Don't listen to those who could care less, about receiving knowledge.  They will try their best, to prevent you from going to College.
Do listen to those, who have your interest at heart.  Whatever you learn, never let it depart.

Time out for violence, to continue in the Streets.  We are tired of seeing our young, constantly get beat.
Time out to continue, and eagerly join bad gangs.  You can only lose your life, as you proudly display their  name.
Time out to shooting the innocent, while enjoying a drive by.  It's time to get rid of the pleasure, of watching people die.
Time out to have Policemen, pulling their guns in vain.  Only to find our youth was innocent, making their parents go insane.

The Lord never ceases to amaze me, in His  mighty acts.  The moment all is gone, suddenly there is no lack.
The Lord never ceases to amaze me, in all He say and do.  Whenever hope is gone, He always come through.
The Lord never ceases to amaze me, the way He uses His mind.  He knows when you need Him most, therefore, He's there on time.
The Lord never ceases to amaze me, how He radiates with light.  It is filled with such brilliance, right before your sight.

When you choose to fuss and argue, even go into a rage; would you show some respect, since age nine, I've been saved.
When you choose to go about telling lies, failing to tell the truth; when you are around me, don't even open your mouth, I was taught honesty from my early youth.
When you plan to steal, and take something that is mine; remember I have been good to you, and nothing less than kind.
Please don't disturb my peace, I am enjoying this time.  I live a life free of stress, I try to keep Jesus on my mind.

When you needed help was God there on time?  Was He waiting there, making sure you had peace of mind?
When your life was in danger, was God by your side?  Did He come quickly, all because you cried?
When you found yourself broke, not even a quarter; was God around, to deliver you out of "Hot Water?"
When you were lost, burden on the wrong Road, did God come to assist you, lifting your heavy load?
When I need God, He seem to be there.  I love Him so much, I'm sure He is aware.

Have you provided, all that you could?  Yet, you are not appreciated, for doing what you should.
Have you gone out your way, to give your last dime?  Yet, you are not appreciated, within a certain length of time.
Have you made available, your most valuable possessions?  Yet, they fail to return the items, giving you a phony confession.
Have you gone out of your way, to go the extra mile?  Yet, you were not appreciated, and did not even receive a smile.

When you return back to School, let learning be on your mind.  Try your best to keep up, and refrain from getting behind.
When you return back to School, aim to do your best.  Make sure you do your homework, so you can pass each test.
When you return back to School, watch those who you hang around.  Choose friends who are positive, not those who would pull you down.
When you return back to School, report those who are mean.  Keep in touch with your leaders, so your record will be clean.
