Will you... walk a while with me
Along my painful way
A love whose heart has eyes to see
When stars shine over the darken sea
The quiet rest at the end of the day
While all else sleep I cry and prey
Will you... walk a while with me
A friend who knows and cares to say
"Stay strong my dear I am always near"
Sweet words that cheer my questioning heart
No matter how distant we are never apart
Will you... walk a while with me
In spirit you take my hand
With tearful eyes I search for answers
In the kindness of your soul
Until the pain will let me go
Will you... walk a while with me

how does one write about love?

it is much too grand to picture
not yet grasped by any scripture
only a fool would try describe it

as it's everything and all
a climb and a fall
a thing impossible to portray, I say

no words would ever do it justice
but now I know what true love is

for I get to feel
your gentle
touch

I adore you

naught
ikaw ang kanlungan sa maulan na mundo;

ang hinahanap-hanap ko bawat segundo
When the urge
to react to the
tactless clowns,
and
down looks like
up,
and life's teeth
are sharper than
a steak knife,
breathe,
and take a
sacred pause.

This is a repost from last year. Here is a link to my YouTube channel, where I read poetry from my book, Seedy Town Blues Collected Poems, which is available on Amazon.
Inside the forestry of his heart I live
inhaling the scent of his deep woods
I could never fill those Timberlands boots
nor explain the thrill that he provides
when he arrives at the grove of my soul
and whispers, "Darling, I love you "

softly cloaked and protected by his pine
I am evergreen in moments like these
Existing in this charming jungle of love
I could never retrace my steps, for
arriving in this place of no return
I feel as suitable as a thriving conifer

Inside  this  evergreen existence, I just am
breathing in the fragrance of his loyalty
I feel like a woman in love, ...
After a lifetime of bending, to his will
I am the wind that blows on his heart
when I get to him, I just breathe...
Suffused through the veiled abstract
Some ride the tail of Satan,
Some shelter in the shadow of God,
Many are diffused in the great indifference of humanity....

But some pluck the jewels of eternity
From the billowing cloud,
To voice substance
And musical inspiration
To the willing, attuned
And receptive ear.

These be the poets in our midst.
