Why do we obsess on your death?
Wear mother's furs and die in a car
painless, breathing her dead breath
as your own in the closed garage.
You painted your suffering in such
splendid colors and signed it AS.
all nuances of bloom
wildflowers between the ****
dust moves by hot wind.

Empty
Just another word for
Clean slate
Full of possibilities
Regardless
Of how it got
Wiped
Clear and clean
Might be the cleanest slate
I ever seen

you touch your sacred heart
and bless us with your hand
I thought you'd be darker
coming from the desert sand
I trust you on my dashboard
to keep me safe from harm
through thick and thin you
are my jesuz plastic charm.

Oh what a time we had. Bohemians.
We drank too much and laughed too
loud. We danced wild in neon light.
We shocked the frozen faced prudes.
We pulled the sun up, ate croissants,
slept naked until love's black night.
We all think we're new. Hippies were the 1900 Parisian  Bohemians.

Is there a tool
A fixing gadget
To repair the hole
In world’s budget

She comes and goes. My wife in
   an instant becomes a stranger
a vacant stare. Holds her purse
tighter to her fearing my danger
There's a loose thread in her mind
she keeps pulling until she holds
the end and everything is gone but
me. She sees it slip from my hand.
