Skulls were honey dippers--that

dripped & drizzled down to

dribbled filaments.

A long line of suns rode a ray, as

a hand went up & a figure

approached.

A bouquet of balloons dragged its

comedown on the side of a road.

Gumballs spiked green space, as

it took on amphibious richness--

while an unsaid curfew lifted from

the ground.
I was poured copper pure turned green with age
Stripped bare down to the ink on the page

Lashed with cat o' nine tail lies and accusations
But I gritted my teeth and made pure my persecutions

Though I burned heartwise for revenge I was told "Revenge is mine "

That I must wait my time .

Now , I feel relieved
no longer grieved .

At least I can smear ink on the page and blot out the pain .
yes i did.

A song for this:
bad idea! by girl in red [E]
Mrs.Timetable challenge

I think this is an acrostic firefly poem.
I wasn’t sure EGGzactly what to write, my mind seemed soft scrambled.
I was hoping to poach an idea, but it turned out the yoke was on me.
Clutching at thin straws of sanity
Swirling in a sea of madness
I dog paddle with all my might
Towards a shore that seems too far
To offer any hope of safe arrival

I've been "away" for a week and I'm not sure I'm "back" yet.  Fighting  my way out of existential craziness.
I have so many
Different sides to me
I'm starting to think
I'm geometry
Go figure
