I'm in no hurry,
I'll let time pass by.
Each second as it drops
Bit by bit erodes
Suffering.
I'll be patient.
Each wave that breaks
Is rasp to the rock.
On which I'm bound,
Each speck of rust
Thins the chain.
In just a millennium, or two,
The rock will become sand,
The iron links fine powder,
My bones calcium molecules
Dissolved in water,
Suffering nothing.

By Ana Blandiana, translated by Adam J. Sorkin
Every time I feel your touch in my mind
Tormented by your serene stare
Heartbroken you are not mine
Everyone has to notice from my eyes
Reading your poetry in my mind
Earth was never meant for you
Alone without me
Look my way and say it please....once
Poetry challenge for world poetry day.  Acrostic using Ethereal and the word Serene.. join me in a poem.  You've been challenged.
How much of us has gone into the planet?
And what does us mean?
When did we become a family?
Even before that point
They were fertilising
For millions of years
Mushed into the earth
Gratefully received
We started out doing the same
Until recently
With this sewerage game
Of course since then
We've pumped out
Some different ****
That goes down and up
Us mixed with chemical grit
Can Gia deal with that?
Long term?
The debate we get into
But like in the Middle Ages
That crap goes out the window.
Every friend is sunshine
To exile the darkness
Haul away the hate
Every friend is lightning
Roses of lightning in dew
Easels of ease near oceans
A rare joy to behold
Let us go to the shore of serene!
For the challenge to write an acrostic poem
to the word Ethereal, using the word serene
somewhere in the poem by Mrs. Timetable.
