All this petty worry
while the great cloak
of the sky grows dark
and intense
round every living thing.

All this trying
to know
who we are
and all this
wanting to know
exactly
what we must do.

But what is precious
inside us does not
care to be known
by the mind
in ways that diminish
its presence.

What we strive for
in perfection
is not what turns us
into the lit angel
we desire.

What disturbs
and then nourishes
has everything we need.

What we hate
in ourselves
is what we cannot know
in ourselves
but what is true to the pattern
does not need
to be explained.

Inside everyone
is a great shout of joy
waiting to be born…
Inspiration by DW..
What about me?
You push, and part and now you're breaking my heart,
All for a boy who says he loves you,
So what about me?
Who was there for you when you were upset,
Who was there during those dark days, trying to get you to work,
And who was there when the seems ripped opened and you were hurt?
Yeah…So not trying to be possessive, but what about me?
And I want you to know we never fought,
I can't even remember one disagreement we had,
Our friendship was filled with sparkling smiles and fun,
But no,
I guess it was all just a fling,
Gosh **** it, I can't help but want to inflict the same pain you caused me,
Call it jealousy, but what you're doing to me is injustice
Pure and absolutely douchbaggery at it's finest,
And what do you got to say for yourself,
But a stupid little sorry,
Hell no man,
It'll take a lot more then those garish crocodile tears,
I cannot again help but be mad,
For this is not the first time i've been thrown aside,
Like just being alone is hard enough,
I just keep sliding by,
But ***,
I guess we might be done,
Although this battle you might have one,
Taking my slashed bits of my broken heart,
And breaking it into smaller pieces
I hope that's want you wanted
Not so far away girl
still so impossibly far
why must we wait until sunrise
to fall asleep?

Why is this beauty only conceivable
after the bottle dripdrips empty?
sinking deeper and deeper into saturn's orbit

youthful vibrant fluffed up peacocks
clucking on about research chemicals
and music festivals and last night and 6 days before
about banking and obamacare
and oh, my they're all talking
all at once
talktalktalking about this this this and that
not even asking for audience
soundwaves echo into nothingness
screaming lungs void of substance
fleeting purposes
failed courtships
unheard unimportant words
and oh, my, what a tedious thing
the night has become
but to stay at home alone
would be even more unspeakable.

Outside the party across the street
there is a tree
splayed out overhead and undergound
soaking up carbon growing tall still growing
slightly sad tree breathing in the silence of our sighs
dancing fallen leaves wrapping up the deadspace around us
deadworld space where we two sit under the edge
of revelry and absurdity
laughing, drunk, with the moon and the stars and
for just a second
feeling
slightly less impossible.
Bonds of Love

gleaming  dim light of candle glow
backdrop melody is  soft and low
Dancing shadows  gather  no mass
Forgotten wine warm up  in the glass

The tender, soft  pat  of loving hands
What the other desires each understands
passionate lovers persuade to embrace
deep longing  from inner hearts interlace

exhilaration burns away  to a desire
Lips and  eyes  fuel the blaze of  fire
thoughts  hunts for  wishful  lust
Inhibitions fade replaced by trust

The world close out from this thrilling tryst
This rest and each other are all that exist
An cherished bond that transcend the flesh
Where hearts, minds and bodies intermesh

need sleep, will
love?
I am in the space between air and skin
Finer than film
The closeness of it all
Cutting me up
Like good snow by a razor
Just before oblivions short ride
I am wedged between glass
Thinner than papers edge
I am membrane
Between skull and mind
With its churning
For illusory answers
In familiar, sullen, sodden, soil
Already turned over and over
I am stitching undone
On that prized dress
The one you wore last summer
In the stifling heat
When all we did was laugh and eat and swim
And fight
I am the reflection on liquid
That stabs your eyes
I am the glint on gold
Driving you
I am marbles sheen
Where the veins of colour snake along
Bursting from stone
Sweeping you from your feet
I am grain of wood
Knotting you up in warmth
Watching you while I grow skyward
I am dawns magic
Evaporating
Missed by the shutter click
Lost to the rising sun
In an instant between blinks
I am the Superfine
I am the Sung Strung One
I am operas Overture
I am The Zahir
I am Legend
Three times now
when I have sought solace in solitude
over the headland on the rocky shore
I have displaced my insistent inner voice
with a simple quest:
"I will find a starfish".

And each time I have done this,
gingerly rockhopping away from it all
towards the kelp-caressed wavelets
I have found one
under the first stone I turn over.

But no matter how diligently
I continue the search
I have never found a second.
Once I spoke the language of the flowers,
Once I understood each word the caterpillar said,
Once I smiled in secret at the gossip of the starlings,
And shared a conversation with the housefly
in my bed.
Once I heard and answered all the questions
of the crickets,
And joined the crying of each falling dying
flake of snow,
Once I spoke the language of the flowers. . . .
How did it go?
How did it go?
