I had the honor and pleasure to have Dr. Shabazz as a Health Class Professor at
CUNY MEDGAR EVERS COLLEGE in Brooklyn, New York
Dr. Shabazz, a name known throughout the world
Determined in all her pursuits
Civil Rights was a commitment alongside her alive husband then Malcolm X
Devotion in spirit in contributing change that followed Dr. Shabazz entire life
Being Black and a woman, but was standing for all women regardless of race
Achiever being a believer
Leader within her own right
Discrimination just made Dr. Shabazz more focused with a Civil Rights mission at hand
Dr. Shabazz wanted to break the chains of stereotypes and accept a person among those being a women
She observed in her eyes in what society was doing to all people of color
Dr. Shabazz educated herself through higher learning and worked within the Health Care Industry as an RN then as she worked became a Tenure Professor at CUNY Medgar Evers College
Because she was part of the Muhammad Faith didn’t make her commitment any easier, but more determined in the change movement of Civil Rights
Her detours were like she was drowning in a sea, but always managed to surface to the top in what Dr. Shabazz was determined to accomplish
Turmoil through the endless fires of her life
Malcolm X heritage was her base of encouragement
It didn’t matter he was deceased, the movement had to be pushed on
Destiny had to be fulfilled
Big step taking
Risk in having strong courage
The world had to understand
Dr. Betty Shabazz travelled the globe in making her agenda clear for Civil Rights change
She made numerous speeches in her own accord and her husband, Malcolm X
In his absence
Dr. Betty Shabazz proved to the world a women accomplish and establish being a women’s right in society
Dr. Betty Shabazz Principles for all women across the globe
She was even close to Coretta Scott King and teamed up together in letting Civil Rights continue to be known

Let your heart show your amaze
Heritage produced the women of yesterday striving in tomorrow’s virtues
It’s women you know and others you don’t
Those are the one’s behind the scenes, but courage put them on the front line
Women who believed in themselves
Cutting through the negative stereotypes
Making your strides in accomplished actions
Determined in desires
Believing while contributing
Courage while walking in Faith
Setting your own standards
Women use what they have been taught being a discovery
Knowing that you can cut the boundaries that bind
Society isn’t always so kind
The question is sometimes what can women offer?
Give a woman a chance and they can become whatever they desire to be
It could be a Teacher, Sports related of any kind, Doctors, Lawyers, Professors,
Mayor’s, VP’s and the list goes on and on
It goes beyond the household chores
It’s advancement into opportunities
Becoming their own commodity
Talent women can have and presenting in capability
The legacy women presented their floor plans for tomorrow’s women
Preparation became, “Are you ready?”
Assurance stated “Hold Steady”
Chance being advance
What can the world expect from tomorrow’s women?”
Determination, Encouragement, Achievement, Pursuits and established
Always stand up being proud of who you are
Think on what you can establish
Embrace what you have learned, but never stop
Let understanding be your own concepts on what theories you will put together
Legacy women achieved, and so shall you
Always let your mind be hungry to do more
Fulfill in your heart being a confident sure
Extend Mission, Can, Will and Shall
You hold the key until
Believing and achieving, you shall
Heritage women directed your path
Live for every day and tomorrow will show you the way
Heritage women saved your place in history
Let mystery be your own pull of surprise
Always be wise
Be encouraged and now energize.

Shocked and devasted
I suffered in a Health Condition and Heaven saw
Uplifted being Heaven’s call
There wasn’t much anybody could do
Heaven was my only pursue
I know on Earth you are heart broken
Don’t be sad
Don’t feel bad
You took excellent care of me well
Pure love and everyone could tell
You couldn’t have done anymore
You did your best and that was for sure
It was my time
Heaven’s schedule
On my journey like a module
I will miss you
Remember me on Earth
No more pain nor suffering again as Heaven is my new birth
Our love was strong
That is how I want you to live along
Bonding in thinking how I gave you inspiration
Remember the voice in my bark
Think of my paw touching your lap
One bark for love
Second bark for thanks

It takes time to heal all wounds

A man with only being known as Joe
A story that will move slow
Joe was a homeless man living on the streets
He felt less of a man drowning in defeat
Joe often cried morning, noon and night
People would ignore Joe and had no pity
This was happening and you name any city
Suddenly something miraculous happened that night
A miracle took place
A voice called down from Heaven to Stand Up
Joe had no idea who the voice was and was frightened
In fact, Joe thought he was dreaming
It was the Lord getting Joe’s attention
The Lord stated, Joe, I know you fell on hard times
I am Faith and hope with blessings combined
I sit high and look low
You need to accept me and believe
Joe, I want you to level and not be fed up
I had heard your cries
There’s going to be a turnaround
Joe, I want you to seek salvation and that is how you are found
Old into new
I am going to change your situation
But you must have inspiration being my indication
You see your tomorrow as sorrow
Your life is going to change
Your outlook will be a new rearrange
I am the Almighty
Believe in me and let me show you the way
Accept salvation on this day
An enriched life having no delay
Your life will be fulfilled
I am the Lord being my will
Let your testimony have a story

A Muscleman spotted on the street
Well Developed and contour
People passing couldn’t ignore
The Muscleman filled out his clothes
The muscles extended length and width
One day, a person asked the Muscleman to flex
Men walking felt perplexed
Definitely jealous
The Muscleman was humbled
Women couldn’t take their eyes off the Muscleman
Walking masterpiece was walking the streets
Too some people it was a treat
Envy after envy from people
The Muscleman definitely had a body
It was obvious that the Muscleman worked out and took care of his body
A mountain of muscle being on a man
Observed like a superior God
Muscles made the Muscleman
Now one quick flex

Every church has an Amen Corner
But sometimes not exactly in that order
The church building is perfect, but people are not
It was a sermon preached by a Pastor that got attention
It’s something that must be mentioned
The Theme, “If God said it, it’s definitely a Promise”
As the Pastor was preaching, it was Amen here and Amen all over the church
The. Congregation could feel the anointing throughout
The spirit was moving
That is who the Lord is all about
The theme itself has power
It doesn’t matter the hour
Scriptures are never undone
One must participate being among
Shout in rejoice
Praise with an uplifting voice
Holy biblical songs only set the praising stage
One must observe in the Lord’s amaze
Believing in receiving
Behold and watch the Lord work
The word has been spoken
Can I get an Amen church?

Wages on a racing horse
The urge in the mind behind the force
Lady Bell having a bet
The horse loss
No win
Sums of money loss at the end
What was a sure thing
It all went down the drain
No money to even catch a train
The Gambler was begging on the street
Feeling down and defeat
People were just passing back
No one even gave anything to the Gambler in try
All the Gambler could do was just cry
Suddenly a miracle took place
Someone on the street gave the Gambler a One Hundred Dollar bill
I hope the Gambler learned his lesson and don’t bet again
You can’t say a bet is a sure thing
You could lose everything at the end
Bet wisely
The Motto, “The Bet today won’t always win”.
