Coughing up tales, of which hundreds exist
Regretting us and misreading my transcript
Displaying a shade of default dismissiveness
False bereavement is what you're equipped with
Your visage remains a rivulet, negating encrypted lips
As you spew nix, levels of sanity collapsed when you loosened it

Allowing our lungs to wane
Upon the school's rooftop
Watching these good times disappear
Like tears in the rain

The winter is over
The snow gradually melts
Just as my sadness
It finally disappears

The spring is close
It is a new, fresh start
And then I met you
Life smiles at me

The summer was hot
Just like you and me
Sunny days, a lot of fun
Late nights as well

The fall is here
And I fall
You are dying
Fading away

The winter is back
Cold and harsh
I miss you so much
But you will never come back...

He told me once,
while climbing broken stairs in an abandoned house,
that what people leave behind is arguably more interesting
than what they take with them.

I find it ironic that he left me months later.

I am still illuminated in the glow of what once was,
it turns my skin a sickly pale green.

This has yet to make me interesting,
I am just what was not important enough to take with him.

You and I walked down the road
as lonely hearted friends
to find the way that leads to love
on the path where friendship ends.

We've always been desperate to share
the feelings never spoken out loud,
but our perfect sky is always filled
with the reluctance of broken clouds.

If the time had come for us to decide
which path would you choose?
Would you still just be feeling lost
or just too afraid to lose?

the light grows
ever closer in the distance
where once
there was an end
i see the hope of new beginnings

back against the wall
again feeling so very small
falling down hard
like raindrops often do
in the fierce ferocious storm

unending nerve cells
swell with pain
a well of screams
all screaming the same thing
"i am tired, so very tired"

sometimes
i want to give up so badly
i feel my heart
close in on itself
stop beating in its tracks

then beat again...
as i pick myself up again
knowing this is not the end
only the beginning
of brighter days ahead
