Fitted for this golden armor
Weightless to the soul
Only favored protection
The conscious must build it's own
Without a certain purpose
It's made to be quite fierce
But a small promise
The rest remains vulnerable

He asked her
on the porch:
"Will you fall in love when you're there?"

Not a second.
Not a beat later.

"No."

Silence followed.
He smiled.
Seemingly a small change to her
was a large change to him.
He confronted her
hungry to know the answer

"Well...you know..."
Her voices trails off.
the "No" echoes in her mind.

She already fell in love
with Her
and herself
she wanted to wait
patiently
for the sun to appear over the horizon,
as the moon was still bathing the wine soaked pavement

someday.

You let this happen… again and again.
You promise, yourself you wont let it happen again.
but it does, it always does.
Why? You ask yourself, why is it just so hard to let go?
You’re counting down the months of this year, this very year, this exact year. You put all your hope, all your prayers into this.

May,

Its almost here.
This is when you’ll find it, this is when its supposed to happen.
What you want, what you think you want.
Will it be everything you’ve wished? Will it be more? Will it be less?

Less, You don’t want less but sometime life -
Life cheats us, cuts us short of everything we want.

Life, is taking all the good I have left in me.
Life, is taking me away from myself.
Life, is the thing that passes you by if you don’t make the right choices but ends too short not giving you enough time.

Time, the very thing you have an infinite amount of but never, never, ever enough.

Enough, You’re hoping you do everything right.
Right, for the ones around you.
Do it the way they didn’t, to see if you can get further than they did.
To see if you’ll be happier than they are.

Because to be enough means to not fail them, to not fail yourself.

In the end
You're left with no more time,
Life is at its end.
Maybe you had longer than the rest or even less
Was it all worth the pain?
The same pain that gives life, is the same pain that takes it.
Was it worth not being happy?
You’d sacrifice your happiness to find happiness.
Feedback please :)

When I'm with other people
Their mere presence reflects my character
Their strength validates me as an individual
Friends sneak away and doubt creeps in
Who am I without my companion justifiers?
Nobody
So I'm going to build an army
And we're going to storm the walls of hatred
They'll throw their bombs
******, ******, ****
Usually more specialized weapons appear as well
All trying to use shame to strip us of our very humanity
We disarm their shame with pride
Not pride in the way one is born or lives
But pride in the face of those who tell us we should feel ashamed
Those hate filled walls will be trampled by our friendship
Once we've infiltrated the pitch black city
We'll seize their holy temple
And find me
Naked, crying, alone
We'll pick me up and dust me off
After all, I have an army to build

stretches
burns
devours

it only wants
to be loved

Don’t go, hold onto your colour bowl,
never lose your paintbrush,
not even at the twilight.
Someone's smiling on earth.
It can’t hide forever.

Maybe hidden but not far—
could be only behind a lock of hair.
Black is not only black.
Look beyond, it could be all fair.

Gently raised and softly lit
on the moonlight’s field
These forever-calm shady groves,
piled up on the night's pitch-black scene,
are ahead of the curve in silent reading.

Behind these out of the box line-ups
by the middle, the stage composed
for the thrillers that rock and roll
An incense is still burning
the sundown burns down into ashes,
is still breathing, smelling the scent.
Yesterday will revive and comes tomorrow
keep an eye for a moment or two.

Follow the glow, gazing in the night
and slip into the grove
for they are in the know
is a veiled beauty, earth’s silhouette,
drawn down to the moon!

All the starry fireflies on the stardom
love to drop down and join the moths
Around this tucked away silhouette,
charming beauty down the moon.
Only on the earthen ground it grooms!

The times we were small
we'd Flock to the swings,
when boxes weren't boxes
but other world things.

one day you'd be pilot
flying west of the star,
until you grew up
and settled for law.

cartoons and a bike seat,
jarred candy and trees;
the times we were small is
time we can't freeze.

announced itself
all around a tiny
quaint white
birdhouse
nestled inside
  the lanky lilac shrub
that towered above the roof
of our ranch style
rental home
with a  profusion of light purple buds
their heady fragrance
no perfume could really capture
these technicolor memories
of the two New England
Springs spent exploring
on  walks along the woods
while chattering squirrels scampered
on branches
arcing over our heads
fingers crossed
we’d missed the bears
that ransacked
our birdseed feeder
earlier that morning
as our blind hound
delicately  sniffed
our neighbor’s
blooms
